My assessment from the deposition today is that Hunter Biden was essentially managing a money-laundering operation from foreign entities into the Biden family. That said, for dozens of moderate Republicans, they will only vote for impeachment if they see money going DIRECTLY to Joe Biden. I think that he is very unlikely to be impeached by the House of Representatives based on the evidence we currently have.

Let me be very clear: I am not here to defend Graham Platner. Democrats should not make excuses for him. But the absolute hypocrisy from Republicans right now is breathtaking. These are the same people who have spent years defending, excusing, worshipping, and politically resurrecting Donald Trump, a man who has been accused by dozens of women of sexual misconduct, was found liable in civil court for sexual abuse, and still became the face, soul, and standard-bearer of the Republican Party. They did not abandon him. They did not demand accountability. They did not say “character matters.” They put his name on flags, hats, trucks, churches, and ballots. So yes, hold Platner accountable. Hold every Democrat accountable. Hold every public figure accountable. But do not let Republicans cosplay as the guardians of women, decency, or moral standards when their entire political movement is built around protecting one man from the consequences they demand for everyone else.

The media is working very hard to make the victims of the Tumbler Ridge tragedy the “transgender community” Its story after story now. Don’t make the actions of one person demonize an entire “community” But if this was a “right wing” white guy you can be sure they wouldn’t have other right wing white guys on air telling people not to demonize them. They would be pushing an entirely different narrative. I can’t stand our media machine.
