Noelvi Marte had three more hits, including his 7th homer, in Saturday's doubleheader for Louisville Bats. He's hitting .374 with a 1.016 OPS. I'd submit that if the #Reds really don't believe he can help them more than several current roster options, they should trade him. If they don't... like Marte, if they don't believe in Marte, if they want to punish Marte, cool. Trade him. I'm not saying he's a perfect player. I'm not yet convinced he can be successful, long term on the MLB level. But I do know in 90 MLB games last season, he hit .263 with 14 HR and 51 RBI. How many players on this team are on that pace for 162 games? I get the concern about his plate discipline and how he carries himself. But he's shown the discipline and 'attitude' to tear up AAA. Time to fish, or cut bait. This is silly.show more

@LouisvilleBats This is primarily true because Friedl, Benson and McClain are also flawed or worse. Friedl and Benson have the same downside or worse with less upside.

@LouisvilleBats Let’s also not forget how quickly he took to RF and some of the absolutely spectacular defensive plays he made. I don’t understand why he isn’t back with the Reds as an every day outfielder.

@LouisvilleBats I beleive that just as teams have windows of opportunity, so do players. The Reds may have missed on Hinds when they didn't get him back up during the 2nd half of 2025 when he was dominating AAA like Marte now. They could be about to miss on Marte the same way.

@LouisvilleBats Bring him up and put him at third base again. I think kbh needs to spend a long time on the IL. You know those back problems can get pretty bad and be lengthy.
