IT'S AMAZING WHAT WE ALL REMEMBER WHEN COVID ARRIVED ON OUR SHORES. What do you remember? It really was not all about the vaccine, was it? We recall like it was yesterday when what happens when a collective group of people allow another collective group of people goes all out to convince them that compassion is optional and conformity is a virtue. Who and what will be remembered? Will it be the people who repeated the approved talking points. Will it be the people who demanded silence - the people who justified coercion - or those who forgot the people they were condemning were neighbors and friends and family members? This cannot be erased by simply saying, "We didn't know."

These narratives are dangerous. They must be exposed by discerning minds like you. You must learn to question. We have iconized people through mechanism which is not rational. We have given celebrity status to people without examining. We think what they say is right. We must ask why the collegium system did not work. We must learn to ask questions, because in democracy, this is our most basic right. #RajyaSabha

Man sitting on train in the UK minding his own business. But one of the usual suspects has been playing music “as loud as I want” and is outraged that the man looked at him. Usual suspect accuses man of racism, then, rather ironically, of being “Irish” and “Belgian”. I am sick of this behaviour. We should not have to live with people like the man recording this video. I can’t be the only one.

Trump: I will not be abandoning the farmers. We are strong on the borders and for the farmers and others in the hotel industry. We have similar situations and Kristi and I will be working with the states and we will work something where the farmers and be responsible. They have had people around for 10 or 15 years and they know them well, we will put them responsible, and issue a form of card or documents and the farmer will be responsible for these people. They will not have citizenship but they will be working and paying taxes. We need to get our farmers the people they need or else the farmers will not be able to do their land. It was tried when there was a very strong guy, and he got everybody out, and every farm almost in the country but every farm in California or Iowa went bankrupt and they had nobody to work and we do not want that situation. I have been seeing many photos of people handing out relief packages, and while this was necessary in the early days, I am concerned about how it affects the dignity of our people. I do not want Jamaica to be portrayed as a place where citizens are scrambling for food or fighting over packages. That is not who we are. We are an independent, proud people, even in times of hardship. If we are giving support, we must do it respectfully and quietly, protecting the dignity of those in distress. And those receiving help must also remember their dignity. This is why I announced that we will be transitioning away from handing out food packages. The system has become too politicized, who got, who didn’t get, and who was invited to distribute. That is not acceptable, and it is not the Jamaica we want to build. So we will move to a voucher or coupon system that allows people to purchase what they need directly, without stigma, without politics, and with their dignity intact.
