I'm a dog lover but I wouldn't get my dog in an elevator. It's a closed space and if it gets crowded and stuck, it can cause a claustrophobic experience. There are people who are dead scared of dogs and in a closed space, they don't even get a chance to move away.

This is simply ridiculous! The confrontation was totally avoidable. In my society we follow this elevator etiquette - "While using lifts, the ‘first come’ rule will apply. In case the lift is already occupied then it is obligatory for pet parents to enquire with the people already in the lift if they are okay with the pet using the same lift. In case, they are not, then it is prudent to take the next lift. Same rule applies to non pet parents."

Such instances are the reasons that people start hating dogs in general.
