The Government's trade deal with India will mean that it's cheaper to hire an Indian worker than a British one. Most other countries are perfectly happy to strike trade deals without forcing us to undercut our own workforce. We should have expected India to do the same. Instead, under the terms of our Free Trade Agreement with India, Indian companies will be able to transfer their workers to this country more easily. Once they're here, those workers will be able to avoid National Insurance payments for up to three years. The same is true for employers. Instead, both employee and employer will pay into the Indian social security system instead. This National Insurance exemption will make it much cheaper to hire Indian workers, in fields like IT and engineering, than to hire domestic talent. Let's imagine a British IT firm, set to hire a computer programmer for £60,000 a year. To hire them, an employer needs to spend £60,000 a year on their salary, plus £8,250 on Employer National Insurance. That's a total of £68,250. An Indian competitor with an office in London, meanwhile, can save money by transferring Indian workers to the UK, even if they pay the same headline salary. They’d still spend £60,000 on the salary - but instead of paying National Insurance, they pay into the Indian Employee Provident Fund instead. Mandatory contributions to the fund are capped at 15,000 rupees a month, or about £120. That means that, across a year, an employer only pays £1,470 into the social security system - for a total of £61,470. So under this Government's deal, it would be at least 10 percent cheaper to hire an Indian worker over a British one for this job. This is absurd. Over three years, it would be more than £20,000 cheaper for an Indian firm to bring over an Indian worker to London than to hire locally. The reason for this absurd arrangement is that the India deal includes a Double Contribution Convention. DCCs make it easier for international companies to transfer their workforce. They're designed to stop highly-skilled workers from paying into two different social security systems. We already have Double Contribution Conventions with other countries. However, these other countries tend to be either: (1) roughly as developed as the UK - in the case of countries like Canada or Japan, or (2) very small - in the case of countries like Jamaica. India is by far the poorest country on the list, and by far the largest. The net result of this deal will be more Indian workers in fields like IT and engineering, undercutting British workers. Given the relative markets in the UK and in India, we shouldn't expect this to automatically be a like-for-like swap in terms of talent. We've seen this happen in the US already, with Indian consultancies leasing their workers to American companies, who are then able to pay an Indian worker far less than they'd need to pay an American. The result has been a massive expansion in the number of lower-cost Indian workers, at the expense of American workers. We should not be allowing other countries to dictate the terms of our migration system, in exchange for some trade benefits at the margins. If India wants to trade, then we should trade. Migration shouldn't even come into the equation.

"I want to describe to you the life of a non-vaccinated person in Israel today. Our life has been destroyed, and we woke up to a nightmare in which we have have been kidnapped by our own government, who sold us to be guinea pigs to an experimental vaccine. They want us to give up our bodies and our souls with no questions. We have become the biggest clinical trial of a vaccine in history in the scale of an entire country" Listen to this testimony from an Israeli citizen on what life was like for an unvaccinated person in Israel at the beginning of the insane vaccination campaign and mass experiment on the Israeli people. What's the difference between Israel experimenting on millions of their own citizens and killing thousands of them with forceful coercion techniques, and them bombing a hospital in Gaza killing 500? or letting Hamas kill their people as justification for the war and perpetuation of more death. If we just go by the numbers, shouldn't we all be far more outraged about the vaccine? That death toll is easily over a million globally now, perhaps even tens of millions. Why should I trust the government that did this to their own people? Why should I listen to any government that did this to their people? It's willful murder no matter how you spin it, and we should all know by now that the denial of such evils by all the authorities that people are still clinging to for the truth, or the ignorance/negligence excuse that they didn't know, is a complete and utter BS lie. They had a clear purpose with the vaccines and knew exactly what they were doing, just as they have a clear purpose now with war and propaganda that comes with it. Depopulation.

Yes, Ricky was surely the culprit. But only in pushing the button. HE DID NOT HAVE ANY PALM PISTOL IN HIS HAND ! > 1. Nothing is visible between the fingers, but the shadow on the frames 0, or +1 ; > 2. Cutler's hand is half way open, with all fingers positioned forward. Nothing can be held in the open hand position like that. Especially when the hand is in motion. If anything was in that hand, it would simply fall out ; > 3. Most certainly, no weapon can be aimed at the target in this kind of open hand position, even if something could have been in it. Any weapon has to be held with a firm grip, for it to be aimed properly. Any suggesting that a weapon can be aimed form such a completely open hand position is utterly laughable ; > 4. No squeezing action in the hand is visible at all. All fingers remain perfectly stationary ; > > > 5. NO RECOIL action on the hand whatsoever ! Anyone who knows anything about the basic laws of physics, would know that no weapon is ever fired without a recoil action. Even the knowledge of the laws of physics is not required for this understanding. Just the basic common sense should be sufficient. Any one of the points above mentioned makes this palm pistol option impossible. Let alone all of them at the same time. And this evidence is with regards to the hand only. If I were to make the whole list of evidence against the palm pistol, aside of the actual hand itself, it would probably be 30-40 items long. So, I will skip that pages long extended part. I hope that just the above stated is sufficient enough ? But the full length video, with all the frames, each frame by frame examination is coming right up.

I have had the privilege of heading this tripartite department, which focuses not only on law but also on RTI and human rights. A few months ago, we had a very successful all-India-level meeting at the Vigyan Bhawan, where we tried to bring people from all corners of India. Carrying forward from there: 👉 The first facet we discussed today, in line with Shri Rahul Gandhi's great initiative to revitalise district units, is that we are now making, reconstituting, operationalising, identifying, and listing for each administrative district of India a team of at least 5 senior persons from these three subjects. They will be our eyes and ears on the ground, including coordinators, actors, and movers. And this will be put together in a final list for all of India after being addressed for each district and will be done by the state chairman in consultation with us, and where there are no state chairpersons, through the nominees at the central level. 👉 The second facet we discussed is the operationalising of a Rapid Response Force, the RRF, at the state level, having a minimum of 5 senior people who can take up cudgels on behalf of the Congress party in legal matters in the court - to argue, seek relief and get things moving inside the court. We have given it a 4-6 week timeline. 👉 The third facet is the building of a directory an all-India directory, searchable both by state as well as by alphabetical name across all these categories of all those involved in our department. Again, we have given this a 4-6 week timeline. 👉 The fifth and the last important facet is to try and involve youngsters, possibly between the ages 21 and 30, who want to be associated with the Congress and legal professionals - including RTI and human rights professionals. They will be tied up in an internship programme with our 127 MPs in the first phase on the said three subjects with the Congress approach, with the Congress ecosystem. They are not necessarily required to be part of the Congress as of now. If this works well, then we will also expand it to each MLA in each assembly-level position. I am thankful to all the people who attended the meeting. We had representatives from across India. So we hope to kind of tie all this together and have another function where we will present this to the Congress President Kharge ji and LoP Rahul Gandhi ji in the near future. : Chairman, AICC Law, RTI & Human Rights Department Shri Abhishek Singhvi

More than 56.25 Crore devotees have already taken holy dip in Prayagraj. A substantial record breaking figure, which is more than the populations of most countries, including the entire European Union (449 million) and the United States (346 million). This turnout even surpasses the combined populations of Pakistan and Bangladesh. I congratulate Hon'ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh; Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji for the World Class arrangements. Uttar Pradesh Government and Administration must be praised for taking extensive measures to facilitate a hassle-free experience for devotees. Police units at key location points are monitoring & preventing overcrowding. Special traffic management is in effect, ensuring safe and orderly continuous entry & exit of devotees, with special emphasis on minimal response time during emergencies. Everyone has praised about the availability of comfortable & affordable shelter, abundant food & water, medical facilities, people friendly directions, hygienic & clean public toilets and other utilities. It's heartening to know that the Maha Kumbh will bring more than ₹3 lakh Crore to Uttar Pradesh's economy. Mamata Banerjee should learn from the Uttar Pradesh Government, how to organize such grand events. The scale of the Mela is simply mind boggling. Everything has been meticulously planned and executed. The most baffling thing is that everything is temporary, including the 24 bridges. All this will disappear in a couple of weeks from now. My greetings to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of UP and the UP Govt for such flawless arrangements. Yogi Adityanath Government of UP Mamata Banerjee

‘THIS IS NOT A DEMOCRACY, THIS IS A REVOLUTION!’ President Ibrahim Traoré has warned against attempts by foreign forces and their agents to put a stop to Burkina Faso’s popular and progressive revolution. In this clip, he again draws attention to an alleged plot to do just that - being organised from neighbouring Ivory Coast (referred to by him here as ‘Lagoon side’ after Ébrié Lagoon). He says their plan is to make his country go again through ‘the events of ‘87’ - which saw the assassination of revolutionary leader Thomas Sankara, to whom Traoré has often been compared. Traoré also muses on the concept of democracy. He is adamant that, in the true sense of the word, it is currently inapplicable. A popular and progressive revolution such as the one he is leading right now needs to be completed first. Since coming to power in a coup in 2022, Traoré has worked to transform the country, pushing it towards greater food sovereignty, industrialisation and overall self-determination. His international critics denounce the revolutionary process as undemocratic. These outlets and institutions focus on Traoré's military background and decry what they deem backward 'military rule.’ Today, the definition of democracy has become so warped that it is taken to mean simply voting in an election every 4-5 years. Little does it matter if the people have any real say in policy or are engaged in any political activities between election cycles. In a country such as the United States, thousands of people fight tirelessly against their government's warmongering, from the Iraq invasion in 2013 to the support for Israel and its ongoing destruction of Palestinian Territories. These citizens plead and beg for universal healthcare, but all demands fall on deaf ears. We are made to believe that this is democracy because there was a vote, irrespective of how limited the options are.

Big Brother is watching you! “The AFP has set up new National Security Investigations (NSI) teams to target groups and individuals causing high levels of harm to Australia’s social cohesion. The NSI teams will work closely with state and territory police, law enforcement and national security partners to provide a coordinated, consistent and intelligence-led response to security threats, and also work on a global level through operations, capabilities and relationships with the international law enforcement intelligence community. There are current and emerging groups dispersed across Australia and in some cases, overseas, who are eroding our country’s social fabric by advocating hatred, fear, and humiliation. While many of these crimes may not meet the threshold of terrorism, the AFP has identified concerning behaviours which could escalate to politically-motivated violence or hate crimes, which seriously put the Australian community at risk.” •••••••••••••••••••••••• So the Federal police have set up a team to investigate social cohesion and target hate crimes. Earlier this year I warned about the Hate Crimes bill that was put before parliament. It was passed on the back of a contrived media beat up around explosives found in a Dural caravan. I called out that beat up as a stunt that was used to justify a change of wording in the Hate crimes legislation from “intent” to “careless.” This makes it much easier for the government to charge people for thought crimes rather than deliberate acts of violence. In the same way the government and media contrived the Dural caravan plot as a hate crime, they will contrive the words of ideological enemies to silence them. This is big brother writ large. I will also continue to also call out One Nation for failing to oppose this bill. Pauline Hanson has a habit of going missing on bills that matter such as this and the U16 social media ban. Please support in standing up to government tyranny by signing up today.

VIDEO | Delhi: Congress leader Manish Tewari on prominent citizens from India and Pakistan appealing PMs of both countries for 'restoring peace, normalcy, dialogue', says, "Well, that's not an appeal for a dialogue. It is an instrument of an unconditional surrender. We want peace with Pakistan, but it has to be peace without terror. It has to be peace with honour. Has Pakistan given any commitment that it will dismantle the entire military jihadi complex. That they have very assiduously nurtured since the late 1970s. Has Pakistan said that they would ensure that the soil of their country is not used for perpetrating terror against India. A commitment which was given by President Musharraf in 2002 in a televised address to the people of Pakistan, as well as reiterated when Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee visited Islamabad in December 2004 for the SAARC Summit. And then repeated ad nauseam in the conversations that took place with between Dr. Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani interlocutors, or even Prime Minister Modi later with his Pakistani interlocutors. So, therefore, the question is not peace. The question is, peace at what cost? Peace cannot come with a gun to your head, you know, with somebody holding the gun of terror to your head. And all these people who've written this letter are very eminent people in their professional and private capacities. They have dealt with the Pakistanis over the entire span of their professional careers. They exactly know as to how perfidious these people are as to how they say one thing and mean the other thing altogether. And therefore, if there has to be peace, or if there has to be a dialogue, terror and talks cannot go hand in hand. You need to ensure that Pakistan dismantles the entire infrastructure of terror that Pakistan have created. Who does not want peace? Everybody wants peace, but it has to be peace without terror and peace with honor." (Full video available on PTI Videos -

👿👿 This made my blood boil!!! Trump said so many things that aren't true in this statement yesterday about America needing foreigners to train American workers, it's hard to know where to begin. But I'll try: 1. Phone manufacturing doesn't require high skilled labor. One can easily train the manual labor up required for this. But in the U.S., companies will likely use advanced manufacturing techniques that require 100x less manual labor. 2. America already has 41 semiconductor fabrication plants. Did you even know that? We make all kinds of chips already. Not necessarily that latest, cutting edge ones, but that's changing. 3. Semi fabs do not require large numbers of people to work in them like car factories. 4. Chip production is a specialty that American universities train people to do. Many American engineers have various aspects of chip making skills already. But chip making is an exception in that we may need some foreign labor to help in the short term. None of the other industries he mentions are anything like chip fabs. There is no need to generalize from the specific needs of chip makers to the rest of American workers. None. 5. The 'temporary' visas used to bring the 'thousands of foreign workers' into the country were changed into 'dual intent' visas in 2001. So every one of those workers will be seeking a Green Card and other visas to extend their stays and migrate here permanently. 6. The battery factory in Georgia was using ILLEGAL labor. We already have visa types for companies transfer needed staff to the U.S. Why didn't they use the L1 visa type that was available? And they weren't training American workers, they were doing all the work. They were also living 10 to a house poor living conditions. They also has other non-Korean illegal aliens working in the factory. What can we take from this? These foreign owned factories will be filled with foreign workers. Americans can drive Doordash and be the plumbers who fix their toilets...

Chamath: "Nvidia is not doing what's in the best interest of the United States." 🇺🇸🇨🇳 "I think we can all do the math. About 47% of all of NVIDIA's revenue goes to China and Chinese-related countries." "And I think when you peel back this onion, what you will find is a whole raft of companies that were stood up to buy these Nvidia GPUs to essentially act as a waystation for China." "And I think that is the big problem." "Let's have a thought starter: if 47% of all of the AI capability and horsepower is being shipped to three Asian countries, where do you think the apps that require that amount of horsepower live?" "Is there a Cursor of Bhutan that we did not know? Is there a great shopping app in Cambodia that's come out of nowhere, that's AI powered?" "I think the answer is no." "Every single time we have an advance in the United States, how is it that Alibaba shows up with something incredible? DeepSeek shows up with something better?" "At every turn and at every step of AI, they are at the same rate or one step ahead." "To be honest with you, I think the real problem that we have is that Nvidia is not doing what is in the best interest of the United States." "You have a American company that has been working around the guidelines at every turn to try to land silicon into the hands of China." "Late last year, they introduced this thing called the H20 that was explicitly designed for China and to be compliant with US rules at the time." "Which again, gives these guys substantial performance." "This is a case where (Nvidia) has plausible deniability. I sell something to a Singaporean registered company? Plausible deniability." "What am I supposed to do? You can't expect me to audit it. I think that's what NVIDIA's answer will be to this question." "But what is the real expectation? At a minimum, the United States should have a mechanism to understand it." "It is implausible that if you did one or two layers of work, you would not find that most of this traffic is being used by Chinese organizations."

I told everybody I've essentially retired from talking about politics as my main subject, but this Iran debacle and now the MIGA or Make Iran Great Again post by Trump has just stirred something up inside of me that cannot be ignored anymore. We're looking at a no-win situation because at the moment, Israel wants us to get involved over there with Iran because Iran is the last threat to their continued existence because Iran essentially holds the axis of resistance that they have ran into and essentially have battled with for ages. And yet at the same time, the United States has a vested interest in getting rid of Iran or conducting warfare, number one, because of the Qatar-Turkey pipeline which has faded from popular memory, but also because of the fact that a lot of military and defense contractors want more money and the only way to justify their existence is more warfare. And now, we are essentially fighting against a long battle where the Ayatollah has been given a referendum to either surrender or die. Yet at the same time, if he were to surrender, that would be tantamount to death because his own people would overthrow him in an instant. And yet, the United States, as they believe, due to our former pulling out of the nuclear deal or JCPOA, proves that we cannot be trusted in their eyes. So in essence, an Ayatollah who has been trying to project strength yet on every end has been made to look weak, including having the axis of resistance utterly decimated by Israel and the United States, has only one option, and that option is to die on your feet rather than die on your knees. This just seems like a pathway to greater involvement from the United States, and it's going to end in regime change, which requires boots on the ground not only to uphold but also maintain. When you look at situations like what happened with the Bagram Air Force Base and the provisional government we set up in Afghanistan the minute we left. Now, discussing Iran and their achieving of a nuke, I'm not saying that Iran is this great country that would never utilize a nuclear weapon against the United States. However, when you look at their actions, it's more of defiance and defense. Hell, even the, quote unquote, axis of resistance is a defensive name. It's to resist incursion. So, you mean to tell me that Iran would somehow get a nuclear weapon and then launch that nuclear weapon, thus encouraging for other countries to come and wipe them out? Sorry, that's a hard sale. That's right up there with the belief that Assad gassed his own people when he was winning against the rebels. Truth of the matter is, Iran getting a nuke would be bad for Israel because their deployment vectors make it very good to use against a country like Israel, but even that would incur the wrath of the United States, so I still only believe that the nuke is defensive in nature. Even though they could yes work on miniaturization and deployment of long-range ICBM technology, the deployment of such is certain death, and for an Ayatollah who has already made it pretty darn clear that his whole goal is continued existence, it's not in the cards, especially when you want to hand over your country to a successor to keep things rolling. Which speaking of successors, we haven't even talked about how this impacts the midterms and utterly ruins the chances in 2028 for a J.D. Vance to take over, as he's riding shotgun in the whole thing, and I'm sure is not happy that America First has now become get involved in regime change again. All the while the Strait of Hormuz exists as something that is and will be shut down, and in order to prevent the shutdown will require the moving of United States assets in direct engagement, which basically means warfare. The point here is that this situation was avoidable, and if you were to tell Israel that they basically can deal with the nukes themselves, and if they can't get it then so be it, we'll handle this at another time, its fine.

WOW 🚨 It turns out the 3 men in Florida being charged with a Felony hate crime for interrupting Muslims praying didn’t have to be charged with felonies The charges were UPGRADED to make an example out of them CAIR praised the quick action, calling it a “vital step” “We have an all-hands-on-deck, five-alarm-fire kind of situation in Tampa. This is from a viral video of three Christian American men who went and heckled a Muslim student association at the University of South Florida, who decided to pray in the parking lot. Not recommended behavior, certainly rude, but now two of the three men have been charged with upgraded charges. They upgraded them to felony hate crime charges because they're Christian Americans who showed up with some bacon and Muhammad jokes. I'm gonna say that again. Christian Americans have been given felony hate crime charges for showing up at a little prayer shindig with some bacon and Muhammad jokes. Again, not recommended behavior. I'm not endorsing what they did, but a hate crime charges? Now, I'm gonna share a map with you. (Shown in video) This map shows the second-biggest religion in every state in the country. Green is Islam. Green here, on this map, is Islam. Second-bi- biggest religion in every state shown in green. And now two Christian men are facing felony hate crime charges for criticizing Islam to their face, for saying that Muhammad, peace be upon him, is burning in hell, which he is. Realize where we are. Realize where we are and stand up now while we still can. Because if they manage to hamstring the majority population with hate speech and hate crime laws for speaking out against Islam, which has no place in Western countries. It has no place in the United States of America. You can call me whatever you want for saying that, I do not care. Then it's all over for us. It's all over.”

In Trump ‘45, the President had a showdown with the Tennessee Valley Authority over 200 American jobs that TVA had switched to H1Bs. In the run-up to Christmas, TVA fired these 200 Americans - and had them train their foreign replacements on the way out. They did this despite the fact that TVA is (1) a government agency; (2) founded to improve the material station of poor Americans, and (3) manages critical energy infrastructure for a large swath of the country. My team and I proposed a plan to President Trump to reinstate the terminated American workers. Because the President of TVA cannot be fired by the President of the United States we thought President Trump should hold the TVA board members responsible - the highly-compensated decision-makers who had orchestrated the H1B worker swap. The President agreed. He started firing TVA board members one at a time, with a demand to reinstate the Americans to their jobs. It didn’t take long before the TVA president and the remaining Board members agreed to reinstate the American workers. At the time, some skeptical commentators said it was meaningless because it was “only” 200 jobs. But it was an important moment for two reasons. First, these 200 jobs mattered to 200 American families, especially with Christmas approaching. Second, it set an outer boundary for what short-term labor visas (which is ultimately what the H1B visa is) should NOT be used for: to replace competent American workers in a critical industry with temporary foreign visa workers just to save a buck. There is broad agreement on the right about what H1B visas - or any other visa - should NOT be used for. The TVA showdown is an example of that. Agreeing on this common understanding is the right starting place for this incoming administration.

MUST LISTEN: Congress Rep Chip Roy Exposes How Corrupt US Government Has Become “I’ll be damned if I'm going to empower a government to extend beyond its constitutional limits” “Government that is now tyrannically using its power to: - Go after the American people - Go after former politicians, including the former president - That is spending money we don't have - That is using that power to regulate us to death on virtually every bill that virtually every Republican on this side of the aisle that claims to be a limited government conservative votes for Why? Because they don't want the Fraternal Order of Police or other law enforcement organizations to come after them.” “Over the last 16 months, there's been a battle which represents the larger war brewing within the Republican Party because unfortunately my colleagues on the other side of the aisle are so far gone, down the rabbit hole of radical progressive policies that absolutely destroy our country every single day, littering our country with regulations, littering our country with all sorts of crime, littering our country with open borders, engaging in endless wars. All of the stuff that is happening because our Democratic colleagues are frankly undermining the American dream and undermining Western civilization and undermining everything we hold dear. There's been a battle going on for the soul of the party in the country within the Republican Party. And I want to tell you, I'm not in the majority. I'm not. Say, Chip, you're in the majority in the House. You have a razor-thin majority. No, I'm not. I'm not in the majority. I'm in the minority. A minority of Republicans who try to wake up here and change this place rather than just campaign on it.” “I work for 750,000 Texans. I respond to them, to God, and the Constitution of the United States. I do not work for anybody in this chamber. I do not work for any organization. I don't work for any donor. I work for the people and I work for a people who are sick and damn tired of this institution run by a bunch of people who campaign saying one thing and they get here and do another.” “34.5 trillion of debt, $1 trillion every three months. We already spend more on interest than our defense. We're about to crack $1 trillion of interest. They say we will hit $2 to $3 trillion of interest by 2030. - Our borders are wide open - We have kids dying. We had Austin, Texas. Four more people the other night died from fentanyl poisoning. Bunch of others had to be resuscitated with Narcan. The people of Texas are continuing to deal with thousands of people pouring across the border. It's not in the headlines right now because universities are in the headlines. But everybody in Texas who are reeling from inflation, who can't afford a car, who can't afford their home, who can't afford the interest on their mortgage, who can't afford to buy groceries, who are dealing with crime on their streets, who are dealing with open borders, they all want some sort of sanity coming out of this institution. And what do we do? What do Republicans do in all of their infinite wisdom? We fund more of it. We fund the Department of Homeland Security again. We give the FBI a brand new $200 million headquarters. You can't even make this stuff up. We give more power to the intelligence community to spy on Americans. Don't even protect Americans with warrants. You can't even make it up.“

EU gave €225 million to projects in #Gaza between 2021-2023, a place that was under the full control of #Hamas since 2006. How much of the EU money given to projects in Gaza ended up in the hands and pockets of this terrorist organisation? I asked Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi this and other questions in the Budgetary Control committee on October 26, 2023. Watch and share this video along with the transcript. MEP Cristian Terheș: "Thank you so much. Before I go into my questions I just want to make a note that this committee has on paper 55, 54 MEPs, and we are in this room, right now, only five [MEPs] and two over there. I think it is outrageous that, for an important topic like this, that is discussing about how the Commission is spending or wasting people's money, apparently the Left is not interested in see[ing] what exactly and how exactly people's money was spent. Going back to the questions, I have six specific questions. The first one is related to the books printed under the supervision or under the authority of the Palestinian Authority. And I saw, I carefully read the answer from the European Commission, which pretty much acknowledged that there was a problem, and I restate that, that there was, in the past, a problem with these books. And the answer says that "EU has stepped up its engagement with the Palestinian Authority to ensure that further curriculum reform addresses problematic issues identified in the shortest possible timeframe". So the "further curriculum" will address this issue. Well, here's an example of a book. This is a literature book for the fifth grade that is used in the UNRWA schools. In this book, this is what the Arab kids are learning. If you're not aware of who this person is, her name is Dalal Mughrabi. On March the 11th, 1978, along with other terrorists, [she] hijacked two busses. And when the Israeli authorities tried to free those people, they blew themselves up and killed 38 Israelis, including 13 children, and over 70 people were wounded. So how is it possible that now, in 2023, and I'm not talking about past books… This is 2023. These kids are still learning that this is a role model for them. And now, out of the blue, we are surprised that people are blowing themselves up and killing innocent people. I'm not interested what are you going to do in the future. I hope that you will do something and we will make sure that you will do something. But what have you done so far to make sure that these Arab kids, these Palestinian kids are not indoctrinated with this kind of evil figures? The second question is about the "Pay for Slay". #PayForSlay According to the Palestinian law if a Palestinian person is killing a Jew, his or her family is getting a pension. So we are rewarding terrorist activities. And this was done for years. A few years ago, when Trump was president, a U.S. military guy was killed in one of these terror attacks. And U.S. Congress passed a law called "Taylor Force Act", which is conditioning any U.S. money for the Palestinian Authority to make sure that these families of the terrorists are not getting reimbursed for life after these terror activities. Why aren’t we imposing exactly the same rules? Because, according to the answer from the Commission, we are paying pension and pensions to these people. Third question, the issue of Gaza. According to your official answer, you're stating, and I quote: "Between 2021 and [20]23, EU funded €681 million for the Palestinian Authority and UNRWA. A third of this money went to Gaza." A third means €225 million from 2021 to 2023. But we know for a fact that in 2005, when Israel withdrew from Gaza, after 2006 or [200]7, Gaza is under the control of Hamas. You said here that you will run a survey or whatever, an analysis to see how the money was spent. What have you done already? Hamas was called, and recognized and acknowledged as a terrorist organisation. How was it possible to pour €225 million in a place that is fully controlled by a terrorist organisation and nobody did anything or said anything? It is absolutely absurd! Forth question. Following reports about stealing of pipelines for rocket production and fuel for hospitals, to what extent can the European Commission or the Court of Auditors verify or assess the damage caused to EU and European funded projects in Gaza? Fifth question. Following news that Hamas is directing money for social allowances to members of this terrorist organisation, how do you verify that such money gets to those really in need? Nevertheless, following reports about control of Hamas of the teacher unions and UNRWA workers union, what are the steps you are taking to verify that EU money for UNRWA is not used to serve Hamas agenda? Thank you." Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi: "Madam Chair. I want to assure all the participating members of this committee that I very much appreciate their presence and their engagement with us. And I think that this is very important that we have this discussion, no matter how many members of the committee are here. Now, first of all, on the Gaza project. Let me make it very clear what has been done in Gaza since 2006 when the IDF and Israel has left the Gaza Strip. I fully agree with you. The control and the governance of that strip has been de facto exercised by the Hamas. Unfortunately! And it was for that reason that all institution financing activity has been stopped and it is for that reason that only projects of public interest have been continued in the Gaza Strip. Now, with the emergence of the horror that we have seen instigated by Hamas, the review also has a very clear message to those projects that we have tried for many, many years to create for the benefit of the people in Gaza, like the Gas for Gaza project or the desalination plant creating fresh water for the people in the Gaza Strip or building a new hospital in the Gaza Strip, that are on hold. And it is not possible even physically to continue on those projects. And we will have to wait until the end of this war to see what engagement would still be considered in the in the Gaza area, if feasible. Now, in relation to the broader question of the review, what is the timeline? The timeline is that we are already doing it. We have a methodology established and our review is carried out by the whole House, mainly the DG Near, but also other parts of the Commission, DG Budget and also the other external family members of the Commission. The result of the review is going to be presented to the College [of Commissioners]. So the College is going to take the conclusions of these findings and they will be, I very much hope, endorsed by the College. In terms of its cost, we do not foresee any additional cost for this, and we want to act rapidly because, as I said, given the very fragile security situation, we have to act immediately to filter out all those who have, even indirectly, participated or contributed to the violence that we have seen emerge. Now, when it comes to the textbooks, to be honest with you, it's very difficult to answer your question because this is the question I have been putting since the very beginning of my mandate. How is it possible to embed hatred and nurture hatred in textbooks? How is it possible to teach kids to hate? How is it possible? And we have been sitting down several times with the Palestinian Authority. We have run a study that came to the same conclusion as you have. And we have had difficult discussions also in this House. But now I see that there is a change in the position of this House, which is, I think, very important. And it is not only very important, but we took very, very careful note of a request from the Parliament, because there is also a request adopted by the plenary, to look into this issue. And this is what we are going to do and this issue will have to be addressed. The result that we have achieved was that we have raised the issue with the Palestinian Authority, and I don't think there's disagreement between us and them that this is an issue. Second, we are working very closely with our partners in UNRWA. I'm very sad to see that this is a training material or education material that you have shown today, which is used by UNRWA, because UNRWA was the one who not only was able to talk about this problem, but undertook commitments with us to eradicate any material, any views expressed, including on social media or in the territories of the schools of this kind, glorification of terrorists, glorification of hatred, anti-Semitism. And this is why we have concluded a three year financing contract with UNRWA. This was a very important element for us that UNRWA started to cooperate and we have seen results coming in. But, of course, I agree with you. We cannot rest until the very last of these materials disappear. And I'm fully committed to deliver on that, including in the discussions for next year. On the "Pay for Slay". We have a list to check that direct beneficiaries do not appear on any of the terrorist list. But, if there is one, I wouldn't like to draw any conclusions of the review, but, if there is one issue to look at is, of course, that we do not create the possibility of indirect benefit for those who are involved in terrorist activities or for those who have been even convicted for such acts. And this is what we are addressing also in our review. Now, on the on the damage to our projects in Gaza, I cannot tell you now. What we see is that there is clearly devastation in the northern part, serious level of damage in the south, but it will be only after that the war will stop that we can go back and take a look at that. Now, on the humanitarian aspect and how to guarantee that our humanitarian aid is not going to be misused. If you look back at the statement the European Council has adopted just last weekend, you see also a very clear call for them to make sure. And this is why our decision has been to channel our humanitarian aid through our own institutions; DG Echo is delivering on the ground and in-kind. So we are providing help, in-kind, not providing financing. We're not providing other items that could be used for other purposes. And we are coordinating our work with international organisations only, so to ensure that it doesn't get to the wrong hands. So there was one more question about the breakdown of the €103 million, and I think I can confirm what you said that we have composed the €103 million by €50 million that were allocated in support of payments of salaries and pensions. These are going directly as direct budget support into the budget of the Palestinian Authority. However, we want to check the final beneficiaries and we have a list. And now we're looking at indirect beneficiaries as well as part of the review. The 40 million… The other element is the €40 million support for the most vulnerable families. Again, this is this is paid in the form of direct budgetary contribution. And the third and lastly, the €13 million, this is the remaining part of 103 [million], is financing the East Jerusalem hospitals that we have paid already in April 2023 to keep the health care system running in East Jerusalem. I hope with this I have answered all the questions that have been raised. Thank you."

Everyone talks about how Web3 will change the world. But the truth is: if you can’t make it work with the systems that already run the world TODAY, it doesn’t matter. Sometimes it feels like we "own" the Multiversᕽ blockchain. Not because we control it, but because every time we start researching a new module or flow, a new chain upgrade lands at the right moment, unlocking the exact functionality we need to build that idea. At Vero, we believe blockchain should stay invisible to the user. The real magic happens when it works silently in the background, even with old Web2 hardware, the kind that’s still required by law. In Romania, for example, every onsite sale needs a fiscal receipt. No exceptions. At the start of the year, we built a way for each point of sale to issue blockchain-connected fiscal receipts. But that meant one printer per station: expensive, inefficient, hard to scale. Now, after months of working, we’ve fixed that. Multiple POS stations, all connected to Web3, can now print on a single fiscal printer. Each receipt includes a unique station ID, a transaction hash, and is fully compliant with tax regulations. And we didn't stop there. We also built a full merchant module that handles both card and cash payments. VeroPay is now running as a SaaS infrastructure for any merchant, in any industry. With the latest MultiversX chain upgrades, this module is 100% live on mainnet. This is what we focus on at VeroPay: Not building DeFi tools that maybe 1% of Web3 users will ever try, but making sure blockchain works today, with the infrastructure that 99% of businesses already use. Maybe in 5 to 10 years everything will be on-chain, and that future is coming. But until then, the winning move is connecting invisible Web3 to the regulated Web2 systems already in place. That’s where real adoption begins. PS: Next up, we're working on a flow to export reports from explorer directly into major bookkeeping software format 👀

Exclusive Investigation: Egyptian Extortion Crew Targeting Immigrant Workers Across NYC After speaking with multiple vendors, witnesses, and sources familiar with the situation, a deeply troubling pattern has emerged involving an Egyptian extortion crew operating across New York City. According to victims, the group has been targeting hardworking immigrant workers, using threats, manipulation, and legal loopholes to maintain control and demand payments. This has been happening for a while, and victims say the pattern keeps repeating. Police sources tell me there are always issues with these vendors and their associates trying to take over territory, and they confirm that this has been happening for years. Sources describe the same individual resurfacing during busy seasons, often arriving with different associates and approaching workers directly. Victims say he demands money in exchange for “leaving them alone,” but even after paying, he repeatedly returns for more. One victim explained, “He wants money. He wants to take over our territory. We’re scared and we just want to work.” Just yesterday, sources reported that the same suspect targeted another vendor in the Steinway area of Queens, matching the pattern seen in other parts of the city. What makes this situation even more alarming is the level of manipulation victims say they are dealing with. According to multiple independent accounts, the suspect sometimes uses women to entrap or manipulate hardworking vendors, has allegedly forged paperwork and created false claims to frame innocent workers, and has even allegedly cut himself to falsely accuse victims of attacking him. He has filed orders of protection against innocent immigrant workers, then shows up at their locations to weaponize those orders. Victims also report that he pays a shady lawyer to manipulate laws and teach them loopholes, giving him tools to exploit the system while keeping himself protected. Individuals familiar with the suspect’s background claim this behavior is not new. According to them, he has a history in Egypt of allegedly paying off officials to target rivals. Almost every victim expressed the same concern: they are frightened, exhausted, and simply trying to make a living. Many of them are immigrants who do not speak English well and feel vulnerable to being manipulated by someone who knows how to exploit the system. “We’re just trying to work and take care of our families,” one vendor said. Another added, “We came here to have a better life. We didn’t expect the same people from back home, here in America, causing us the same problems.” Sources say vendors have been begging for help, but they feel like their concerns have gone unanswered. Meanwhile, the suspect continues showing up and making new demands. Based on all the accounts gathered, this is not a single dispute or isolated case. This appears to be a repeated pattern across multiple areas of New York City — one that grows more concerning each time the suspect resurfaces. This remains an ongoing investigation as more victims continue to come forward with similar stories. By Leeroy Johnson . For licensing email [email protected]

ABC’s George Stephanopoulos attempted to trip up Secretary of State Marco Rubio by asking the same question about Venezuela three different times. “What is the legal authority for the United States to be running Venezuela?” And three times, Rubio shut him down. RUBIO: “I explained to you what our goals are and how we’re going to use the leverage to make it happen.” “As far as our legal authority on the quarantine, simple. We have court orders. These are sanctioned boats, and we get orders from courts to go after and seize these sanctions. Is a court not a legal authority?” STEPHANOPOULOS: “Is the United States running Venezuela right now?” RUBIO: “Well, I’ve explained once again, I’ll do it one more time.” “What we are running is the direction this is going to move moving forward, and that is we have leverage.” “This leverage we are using and we intend to use. We started using already. You can see where they are running out of storage capacity. In a few weeks, they’re going to have to start pumping oil, unless they make changes.” “That leverage that we have with the armada of boats that are currently positioned, allow us to seize any sanctioned boats coming into or out of Venezuela loaded with oil or on its way in to pick up oil.” “We can pick and choose which ones we go after. We have court orders for each one.” “That will continue to be in place until the people who have control over the levers of power in that country make changes that are not just in the interest of the people of Venezuela but are in the interest of the United States and the things that we care about.” “The legal authority is the court orders that we have.”
