This is the one thing that keeps me blackpilled about India to which I don't have an answer. Not infrastructure, hygiene, not backward ideas about women, even littering by itself. These things can improve with economic growth, education, policing. But total lack of consideration for each other is something I don't know how to fix or educate people out of. And from what I've seen it is unfortunately not just an "older generation" thing; that's what keeps me awake at night. Not "people don't know better", not "people are too poor", it's just people don't care, even when they know better, and even when they can afford to.

The world is getting more miserable for humans and India seems to top the list. It’s frustrating and heartbreaking to watch.

Unless we make basic civic sense a part of every school and force every religious institution to teach it, we will not improve. To wait in queue, not to throw garbage, leave public toilets clean, not to spit and consume guthkha, follow traffic rules etc.
