Honestly it probably wasn't the bread. On average it takes 6-48 hours to experience food borne illness symptoms. My bet is on the meal they ordered where the man who was "cooking" it left and came back and handed it to them.

Crazy that is was the bread that got them sick and not the literal chicken bones and head from that one hotel
