NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IT CAN'T END HERE 😭

I can't even remember how many times I've cried watching Eighty Six. This anime needs about 86 more episodes!!! Seeing the two of them finally meet face to face felt so emotional. What a wonderful story this is. I can’t wait to share my thoughts on this story. I need to take a breather and really savour this moving moment. That’s going to take a little while.

Welcome to the endless wait for a season 2. This scene never fails to make me cry, no matter how many times I see it. And the framing of them finally standing together at the end of the tracks, a set piece that was huge throughout the entire season

Fun fact to make you cry EVEN MORE! The ost playing here is named “LilaS”. And not only it sounds like color lilac (which you can get by mixing Shin and Lena’s eye colors) BUT the title stands for “Lena is looking at Shin”

Tbh I can accept 86 ending here because this kinda works as a final ending. I do wish more of the source material was adapted because I heard it gets even better, but if this is all we get I've made my piece with it.

Fun fact, this last episode was delayed if I remember right. At the time, I think there was a talk of it actually got delayed for like 86 days or something, but pretty sure that's entirely wrong.

Honestly, even as a standalone ending, it has successfully satisfied viewers. LN readers know there's still a continuation to this, but for anime onlies, its still a satisfying end

Glad you made it to the end Personally I think it's a pretty great ending, both closing a part of the story and opening it. Watched it 3 weeks ago. Cried like crazy. Still can't get over it. Looking forward to you watching Suisei no Gargantia
