Norman Finkelstein claims that Noam Chomsky changed Nasrallah mind on 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 relationship. After their 2006 meeting, Nasrallah indeed stopped saying that Israel controlled America but rather the opposite The Axis brains are shaped by Leftist dinosaurs and by the Protocols of Zion

Damn now I know who to blame for this. Noam ' it's military-industrial complex, it's the Christian Zionists' Chomsky so Hassan trusted assurances Biden gave IR, when he should have stuck w the Protocols

Israel and America are separate entities imo, not symbiotic (Lefties) or parasitic (JQers). 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 military integration and Zionist sympathies among US elites is undeniable. But it is like saying Assad was puppeting Iran/Hezbollah to die for a Kuffar regime

But that seems like the objectively more sensible interpretation of the situation?

The Left/Right is obsessed by entanglement between metropole vs periphery. Pro-FLN Communists thought Paris was under the yoke of Pieds-Noirs colonial lobby. Paleocons think Europe is puppeted by US. Ilan Pappé and BDS movement promote a failed methodology of "changing patrons"

Oh yes of course chomsky who believes Israel has a right to exist... You think the great hassan Nasrallah needs chomsky or any zio Westerners to shape his thinking.. Soleimani yes chomsky no, finklestein is an arse...

@BalaamAndDonkey Isn't the cleanest, and most plausible, explanation the simple fact that Israel serves American interests, has a lot of American sympathizers, and has an effective lobby in America? I feel a lot of the crazy misreadingings of the relationship are bc of ideological commitments

No. It has to do with the power structure of America. Nasrallah was not an American. He however had the humility and good sense to listen to the ideas and arguments of a US professor who spent decades teaching and writing about the US govt - and so- it only makes sense. Israel is a US colony. They are only recognized bc of the US- there bc the US needed itself there- and defended and funded by the US. They are nothing without the US.

Thank you. It seems that in the Middle East, the Jewish state is perpetually scrutinized and criticized, while other nations, where women lack fundamental rights, where dissent is punished by death, and where honor killings are rampant, are largely ignored. When Israel defends itself from rocket attacks, the global outcry is swift and fierce. Despite Israel's remarkable contributions across various fields—be it technological innovations, humanitarian efforts, or medical breakthroughs—the media often overlooks or underreports these achievements. I am committed to writing a daily article highlighting the positive impact of Israel’s accomplishments. My goal is to shed light on the genuine contributions of Israel and the Jewish people, hoping to influence those who seek an honest understanding of Israel’s role in making the world a better place.

the most disagreeable part of his speeches. if he had said the opposite the effect would have been felt even in the west.

The entire ideological arsenal of Nasrallah and his ilk is based on Chomsky and statements by former Westrrn/Israeli officials in op-eds. They always quote this stuff to their audience to show "look, even tbe West concedes so and so". One could convince Nasrallah of anything if it was wrapped in enough condemnation of the West and monolithification of Western media

Finkelstein is an escaped mental patient. Taking anything he says at face value is, well, unwise.
