‼️🇰🇵 North Korea has unveiled what it claims is its first nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine, inspected by Kim Jong Un. While experts question Pyongyang’s ability to field a reliable naval reactor, the signal is clear: its nuclear deterrent is moving beyond land. Even a partially functional nuclear sub would... show more

Having nuclear weapons is one thing. Surviving a nuclear attack and still being able to strike back is what defines a true nuclear superpower. Reports claim Pakistan asked China in 2024 for help building a sea-based nuclear deterrent, the most survivable form of nuclear capability. According to reports, China rejected Pakistan’s request and called the demand “unreasonable.” Today, only a handful of countries possess an operational sea-based nuclear deterrent: the United States, Russia, China, France, the United Kingdom, and India. India achieved this capability through its Arihant-class submarine programme, completing its nuclear triad with land, air, and sea-based nuclear forces. Pakistan’s reported push highlights how modern nuclear competition is no longer just about missiles on land — it is increasingly about what survives beneath the ocean. #China #Nuclear #submarine #Pakistan #indianarmy #NuclearSubmarine

JUST IN: 🇷🇺🇺🇸🇪🇺 Russia’s Poseidon “Doomsday” Submarine Khabarovsk Begins Sea Trials, U.S. & Europe Face New Nuclear Challenge Russia’s Khabarovsk nuclear submarine has reportedly entered sea trials after leaving Severodvinsk, a major milestone for Moscow’s Poseidon underwater nuclear weapons program. Unlike ballistic missiles, Poseidon is designed to travel deep underwater over very long distances, creating a completely different detection and interception challenge. Khabarovsk is the first submarine designed from the outset to carry Poseidon, reportedly capable of carrying several of the nuclear powered underwater drones. 🇺🇸🇪🇺 For the U.S. and Europe, the strategic concern is clear: finding and tracking the carrier submarine before launch could be just as important as dealing with Poseidon itself. Russia’s underwater nuclear deterrent is moving from the shipyard toward the open sea. 👀

🇰🇵Just when the world thought tensions couldn’t possibly get any worse, Kim Jong Un dropped a new bombshell. In a speech to a major state plenum, the North Korean leader declared that his country will rapidly expand its nuclear arsenal with the explicit goal of surpassing every other nation on Earth. Kim has repeatedly described nuclear weapons as “a matter of survival” for the regime, framing them as an indispensable shield against perceived threats from the United States and South Korea. The message is clear: North Korea isn’t just maintaining its arsenal - it’s preparing to dominate it. 📌US Navy and Republic of Korea Navy ships steam in formation during exercise.

‼️‼️🇰🇷🇺🇸🇯🇵🇰🇵 Seoul, Washington and Tokyo are preparing another major show of force around the Korean Peninsula, with the three allies set to launch their annual Freedom Edge exercise as North Korea’s nuclear and missile threat continues to dominate regional security planning. South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said the Freedom Edge drills will run from September 7–11 in international waters east and south of Jeju Island. The exercise is officially defensive and is designed to strengthen the three countries’ ability to respond to North Korean nuclear and missile threats. This year, particular emphasis will be placed on real-time data sharing, tighter coordination and improved interoperability between South Korean, U.S. and Japanese forces. The strategic message is aimed squarely at Pyongyang: the three countries are moving beyond parallel cooperation toward a more integrated regional defense network. Faster intelligence sharing and synchronized operations make it harder for North Korea to exploit gaps between the allies, while also reinforcing a broader U.S.-led security architecture in Northeast Asia that increasingly links the defense of South Korea and Japan into a single operational framework. North Korea just slammed the door: Pyongyang has made clear it will not denuclearize, arguing the U.S. is still pursuing a hostile policy. I think North Korea sees nuclear weapons as the guarantee of its sovereignty - and I see little chance it will dismantle them. Nothing, in my view, is likely to change that. There is no confirmed warhead count. Public estimates usually put the arsenal around 50–60 assembled weapons, though some figures run higher. North Korea has also built a range of delivery systems: ICBMs that can reach the United States, tactical nuclear weapons, and work on nuclear-armed submarines.

🚨 BREAKING: NORTH KOREA FIRES BALLISTIC MISSILE — JAPAN ON ALERT Japan says North Korea has launched a suspected ballistic missile, sending shockwaves across the region. According to Japanese authorities, the missile was fired toward the sea off North Korea’s east coast, with officials now working urgently to track its trajectory and ensure the safety of aircraft, ships, and nearby assets. The launch comes amid ongoing U.S.–South Korea military drills, a moment when tensions on the Korean Peninsula are already running high. While North Korea frequently conducts missile tests, each launch is closely watched by Tokyo, Washington, and Seoul due to the regime’s growing missile and nuclear capabilities. For now, Japanese officials say they are gathering and analysing data as the situation continues to unfold.

🚨🇷🇺OCEANIC SHIELD: RUSSIA'S DOOMSDAY TORPEDO IS NOW AT SEA The Russian Navy has launched its most secretive and strategic submarine yet — RFS Khabarovsk — a nuclear-powered special-purpose vessel built for one mission only: to carry and deploy Poseidon (Status-6) nuclear torpedoes. What is Poseidon? 🔸A nuclear-powered, autonomous underwater torpedo 🔸Estimated range: up to 6,200 miles — intercontinental 🔸Capable of carrying a 2-megaton nuclear warhead — 100x more destructive than the Hiroshima bomb 🔸Runs at depths and speeds that make interception extremely difficult Putin himself confirmed its successful test in October 2025, calling it "a huge success" and saying "there is nothing like this” Khabarovsk — Poseidon's carrier: 🔸A nuclear-powered special-purpose submarine, quietly launched by the Russian Navy 🔸Designed to carry up to 6 Poseidon torpedoes in specialized side-mounted launch hangars 🔸Powered by a single OK-650V nuclear reactor 🔸Operates from protected bastion zones near Russian coastlines — safely out of enemy reach — while Poseidon autonomously travels to its target 🔸No countermeasure exists to intercept it Poseidon is Moscow's direct hedge against US missile defense, precision-strike capabilities, and low-yield nuclear systems that Russia views as a threat to strategic stability. Integrated with the Perimeter dead-hand system, Poseidon guarantees retaliation even if Russia's nuclear command and control is destroyed. Russia's plan, according to the US Naval Institute, calls for 30 Poseidons on 4 submarines — 2 for the Northern Fleet, 2 for the Pacific Fleet — with torpedoes in the Atlantic and Pacific capable of autonomously striking US port cities, far beyond the effective reach of any American torpedo. Multipurpose Deterrent — Poseidon is dual-capable, conventional or nuclear, and built to strike carrier battle groups, coastal fortifications, and critical infrastructure. The US has no standoff weapon to intercept Poseidon. The Navy retired Subroc in 1992 — its only long-range anti-submarine missile. Its replacement, Sea Lance, was canceled at the Cold War's end and never replaced.

Trump is suspending exercises with South Korea because he says he has a “really good relationship” with Kim Jong-un. Meanwhile, North Korea has nuclear weapons, threatens our allies, supplies Russia’s war against Ukraine, and has sent troops to fight alongside Putin. This is how American alliances get destroyed — and how you convince countries like South Korea and Japan that they may need nuclear weapons of their own. The damage from this could last generations.

Ben Meiselas connects the dots between Trump's withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal and North Korea's nuclear program: When Donald Trump pulled out of the JCPOA, it sent the message that this template that was going to be used for North Korea would never work because the U.S. would never keep its word. So Kim Jong-un viewed Trump's withdrawal from the JCPOA and said, "Got it, this guy is an easy mark; let's do the love letter thing and drag this out and build the nuclear weapons." Part of Obama's thinking behind the JCPOA was North Korea as well, and it was reducing the proliferation of nuclear weapons as an international governing principle.

Marjorie Taylor Greene: Nobody ever talks about the fact that Israel has nuclear weapons, Israel has hundreds of nuclear weapons. Like, who’s really going to mess with Israel at the end of the day? They have nuclear weapons. It’s just like—do you ever see anybody freaking out about Kim Jong-un anymore and North Korea? No. Because he has nuclear weapons. So what a lie it is that we really have to support Israel.

🚨🇷🇺 NATO IN PANIC: RUSSIA’S FIRST ZIRCON-ARMED NUCLEAR SUBMARINE IS ENTERING SERVICE Russia’s Project 885M nuclear submarine Perm is expected to complete trials and join the Navy before the end of 2026. It will be Russia’s first multipurpose nuclear submarine built from the outset to carry Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles as standard armament. 🔸 The Yasen-M combines the concealment and endurance of a nuclear-powered attack submarine with Russia’s most advanced naval strike weapons. Its arsenal includes Zircon, Kalibr and Oniks missiles for attacks against warships and targets deep inland. 🔸 The submarine has a submerged displacement of around 13,800 tonnes, reaches 31 knots underwater, can dive to 520 metres and remain at sea for up to 100 days. 🔸 Zircon reaches speeds of around Mach 9 and can strike sea and land targets at ranges exceeding 1,000 km. Its speed leaves defending forces only minutes to detect the launch, identify the target and attempt an interception. 🔸 The missile has already been successfully launched from beneath the surface, but Perm turns that tested capability into the standard armament of an operational submarine rather than a launch from an adapted trial platform. 🔸 Surface ships carrying hypersonic missiles can be tracked by satellites, aircraft and patrol vessels. A Yasen-M can remain hidden beneath the ocean, change its firing position and attack from an unexpected direction. 🔸 The same submarine can hunt carrier groups and other major warships while holding naval bases, ports, command centres and infrastructure on land at risk. Finding Perm will be NATO’s first problem. Stopping its missiles after launch will be the second — and at Mach 9, the alliance may have only minutes to solve it. Does NATO have an answer to a Mach 9 missile launched from beneath the ocean?
