Yep, every Spring when the lake melts, and the wind blows, I have to worry about the ice crushing my stone pier. If you strategically place long planks, you can divert the ice to the sides; as it's looking for the path of least resistance.

I’ve seen 80 years olds hustle faster to shovel out a parking spot. Dude is useless.
