The issue with the Xiaomi brand is that it’s not sold in Canada so when something happens such as needing the screen repaired or the device replaced it’s going to be more difficult than getting a phone from Apple, Samsung, Google or Motorola. On a related note while traveling in HK, I was impressed how much they make their in-store experience look and feel like walking into an Apple Store. They definitely see Apple as their direct competitor to win customers over.
