An estimated one in two women over 50 (who do not take HRT) worldwide will develop osteoporosis. This puts women at high risk of bone fractures, which can have a major impact on health, wellbeing and overall quality of life. With osteoporosis, prevention is better than treatment and the first step to prevention is awareness, which is why I think all women approaching the menopausal age should have a bone density scan. There is evidence that HRT can help protect bone health and reduce future risk of developing oestoporosis, so consider this treatment option to keep your bones strong.

You’ve seen #ThePolygamist and saw how Jonasi went out… just know, that is not just TV drama, it is real life consequences. Multiple partners without protection increase your risk of STIs and HIV. Ignoring treatment does not make it go away, it makes it worse. Knowing your status is power. Using protection is responsibility. Taking your treatment is survival. If you stopped treatment, come back, reinitiate and stay on it to achieve an undetectable viral load. This means living a healthier life with zero risk of passing HIV on to others. Remember, prevention options such as PrEP and Lenacapavir can help protect against HIV, but condoms are still essential to protect against STIs like gonorrhoea, syphilis, herpes, chlamydia and more, as well as unwanted pregnancies. Today is #WorldAIDSDay Have you heard about Lenacapavir or LEN, a new drug WHO recommends to protect people at risk of #HIV? For some people, taking daily pills is not easy. But Lenacapavir could change everything because instead of taking daily pills, people can now get injections every six months. At the time where funding for HIV is limited, this new drug could mean fewer new infections and more lives saved. Know more: #EndAIDS

Enough is enough. Another shocking incident involving a young woman where a man attempted to rape her in Bishop’s Stortford has left many people angry, frightened, and asking how much more the public is expected to tolerate. Women deserve safety. Families deserve peace of mind. Communities deserve leaders willing to speak honestly about crime and the failure to protect the Those that it is meant to serve. This is not about hatred or racism. It is about safety, accountability, and refusing to stay silent when innocent people are being put at risk.

The past week has been a stressful one for many people impacted by the wildfires near Saint Andrews. During an emergency situation like this one, we get to see the best in each other. Thank you to all New Brunswickers who took the time to help one another and keep each other safe. Thank you to all those who have taken proactive steps to protect our forests. The risk of fires continues to be high throughout the province and we can all do our part to reduce that risk. Please take every precaution you can to not allow a small act become an out of control fire. Please – stay vigilant, stay cautious, and stay safe.

Racism is increasing in the UK, and if you ever find yourself in a situation like this, please make sure you record the entire incident if it is safe to do so. Having a recording can make a huge difference when it comes to reporting the situation or protecting yourself. I’m just glad they didn’t take her children away. It’s so important that our people are educated about situations like this and know how to respond when they happen. We also need to understand our rights in the UK so that we can stand up for ourselves and protect our families when necessary. Knowledge is power, so please stay informed and share this information with others. ❤️

Flooding is a powerful disaster that can destroy homes, livelihoods, and lives within hours. Heavy rains, poor drainage, and climate change increase the risk every year. Prevention starts with protecting wetlands, improving drainage systems, avoiding construction in flood-prone areas, and community preparedness. Early detection saves lives through weather monitoring, early warning alerts, and rapid evacuation plans. Staying informed, acting early, and working together can reduce flood damage and protect communities before waters rise too high.
