@wesstreeting @wesstreeting please let us know which health insurance and tech companies have lobbied for this policy. They stand to gain. The benefits for the public are more nuanced. In fact you could argue more negatives...Gattaca and 1984 springs to mind.

@wesstreeting Nope instead millions of worried well - genetics only gives probabilities and often v low - but that is hard to convey and people always look at worse case - in my area genetics for prostate cancer screening for a disease that all Men will eventually get some degree of!

Someone I know diagnosed 6 months to live still alive & doing very well after 7 years now. Thankfully they did not sell up everything thinking I must do it now 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
