Why didn’t he climb the rope ? My best time was 7:32 x 2 and we climbed the rope. We had a Marine complete the course x 2 in 3:50.

In regards to that second obstacle where you flip over that bar; when I got home after USMC boot camp, my friends had thrown me a party. In the back yard at this party was one of those old school metal swing sets. In my drunken macho state, I thought it would be cool to show off and flip over this bar. Well I pulled it off rather effortlessly and felt like I looked cool while doing it. What I didn’t understand were all the gasps and finger pointing once I landed. I had failed to notice the sharp metal bolt sticking out of the top of the bar and had ended up with this huge gash from just below my belly button to my sternum. For my next feat of excellence I got to show off my first aid skills, and because my ego was fully engaged, I decided to keep partying after I patched myself up. Two days later I went to the Doc on base and got over 100 stitches. I was due to go to MCT in about a week, but this delayed me by about two or three weeks. Which also pushed back my MOS school. I learned a few things that day.

They aren't wearing any equipment. Too easy.

They could have done this with an armor to prove their strength

Me and a few of my Marines would fly over that course twice as fast (we did it at least once a week) and of course we climbed the rope. Show a clip of any actual Marine unit today completing the course, it won’t look like that.

Not everyone in the “military” is “boots on the ground” either. The medics, clerical staff managing sales of drones from Trump’s family, engineers, etc. etc. Making military service out to be entirely this macho thing is a mistake.

It was tougher to sit down straight legged and reach over a box during “Presidential Fitness”test than whatever this is.

Not everyone wants to. Far better to wear an Air Force uniform and get paid better while putting up with less bullshit.

Incomplete! Didn't do the rope climb! (I know, I know. The rope is likely unseviceable or it rained recently so rope climbs are usually forbidden when this happens)

Drone does not care how fit the pray is. The guy on the video has excessive mzskle mass and demonstrates useless skills. No need to wield a sword anymore.

I haven’t done that course since I was 32. It was easy at 22. Much harder at 32.

This is certainly part of conditioning but not the be all end all.

None of these skills are required anymore to fly a combat drone. In fact some your best operatives might be disabled people in wheelchairs. No marching skills required or swords or bayonets .....just explosive drones operated from a games console

Looks pretty slow, didn’t maintain a low profile and didn’t climb the rope.
