I’ve seen my indie artists get playlisted more than major label artists on releases. So in 2023 Playlisting is more about artist/management relationships with curators and cultural equity than anything else, in my opinion.

If the music does well (move up list) on Spotify Discovery the algorithm will recommend the song to curators for consideration or Distributor DSP liaise recommend song
