Not many men would knowingly buy a blind donkey, about to be put down. This angel of a man did. I'm glad he did. He gave the donkey a new chapter in life. 😇❤️

Ray Daniels speaks out after Charlamagne Tha God named him the "Donkey of the Day" for claiming that JAŸ-Z's next album was finished: "The last time he gave somebody 'Donkey of the Day' for a rumor was 2016. For a rumor. He usually gives people 'Donkey of the Day' for actions; something that they actually did wrong to hurt people." "You gave me Donkey because I announced a JAŸ-Z album was done? I didn't even say it was a release date..." (Via Ray Daniels Presents)

If had enough was ever a person, this is him. This man has zero cares regarding what he did. The man he did this to crossed a line that was just one step too far in the eyes of this guy. He warned him that he does not want to hear about what he did even a second longer but the man wouldn't stop so this guy had enough and stopped him.

I'm not sure what this guy did in his former life, but I sure would like to have the money to do what he does now. Watch as he launches a chunk of concrete through this car engine. 💥🤯

Why did Balaam’s donkey speak in Numbers 22? Balaam was blind to the danger before him, chasing greed and disobedience. But then the impossible happened. His donkey spoke with a human voice. The Bible explains in 2nd Peter 2:16: ‘But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey, an animal without speech, who spoke with a human voice and restrained the prophet’s madness.’ God broke the natural order to stop Balaam from walking into judgment. This shows us something powerful. The Lord can use even the simplest or most unlikely messenger to get your attention. He is not limited by human strength, wisdom or pride. If he can use a donkey to stop a prophet, then he can use any circumstance, trial or person in your life to speak truth and guide you back. His mercy is louder than stubbornness. His warnings proof of his love. The question is, will you humble your heart and listen before it’s too late?

Chris Rock says he missed out on $30 MILLION because Eddie Murphy walked downstairs. "I love Eddie. This is how crazy Eddie can be." "Eddie has the recording studio in his house. So all he has to do is go downstairs to do Donkey." "He would make them wait for months at a time." "At least twice, they negotiated deals with me to play Donkey." "And then Eddie just went downstairs." "And I'm out of $30 million... just because Eddie went downstairs." "I'm on my way to the studio thinking, 'Yeah, I'm Donkey.'" "Oh... Eddie went downstairs." "He's in his pajamas doing Donkey right now."

Robert Bresson on how he got the idea for 'Au hasard Balthazar' (1966) & the challenges he faced while writing the script: "Interviewer: What does 'Au hasard Balthazar' (1966) mean to you? And how did the idea for this film come to you in the first place? Bresson: The film came of its own accord. We never know how ideas arise: they always arrive unexpectedly. But it was several years ago when the idea of this donkey, as a character in a film, first appeared to me with extraordinary force. Interviewer: You had decided that one day you’d make a film about a little donkey? Bresson: A little donkey?! We follow a donkey to its de@th. This is a far cry from 'Cadichon' or 'Memoirs of a Donkey'. It’s a tragedy, a cruel story. And it pursued me, haunted me. I worked on it, I abandoned it, I took it up again. Abandoned it for a long time before taking it up again, because the writing was so challenging. And finally, I said to myself: If I don’t do it now, I’ll never do it. And last spring, I finished drafting it—if it’s ever possible to “finish” that stage of things. Two storylines appeared to me. The first was that we would identify, in the life of a donkey, the same stages we see in a man’s life: childhood (caresses); mature age, for the man and for the donkey (work); then, talent or genius; and finally, the mystical period that precedes de@th. And second: the donkey would pass from master to master and each of these masters would represent a human vice. And each would suffer because of it, in a different way, and finally die from it. It’s easy to trace a storyline, then to trace another. It’s harder to join them together. At first, there was the significant challenge of keeping the storyline close to the life of a donkey; the donkey had to be present at all times (or nearby, not far). And then it was difficult not to make a film composed of sketches, or one that would be too stiff, too systematic. I wanted it to generate itself; more than anything else, I wanted the film to represent our agitation, our passion when faced with a character that might resemble Charlot in Chaplin’s early films, but that is also an animal, a donkey, present in all its purity, its tranquility, its serenity, its sanctity." (Robert Bresson's interview with François-Régis Bastide, 1966)

Herd of elk adopt a donkey who went missing over five years ago in Auburn, California. The donkey's name is Diesel and he ran away from his owner in 2019 after getting 'spooked' while trail packing. While on a hunting trip, pro triathlete Max Fennell noticed a donkey in the middle of a herd of elk. "Probably one of my wildest hunting trips to date. I bumped into a herd of elk that have adopted a donkey. I can't get over seeing it and I'm amazed that the donkey looks happy and healthy," he posted on Instagram. The donkey's owner, David Drewry, responded to Fennell's post. "That is in fact Diesel. He got away from me while packing out there 5 years ago. It was heartbreaking at the time. Glad to see he is helping the herd grow."

My reaction to hearing about Shane MacGowan's death was the same as my reaction to Lemmy's, which was, how the f**k did he make it past 60? Glad he did though. I life very well lived. Here's a fabulous anecdote about the great man from Kiefer Sutherland. Worth a watch.
