the fact that they knew enough information on this to narrate and make a commercial way back then, should definitely show you how things are marketed to us today.

Some truths here but this can be said about any race depending on your “tax bracket.” This is more about acceptance. Treat us with the respect we deserve and have earned whether we’re in Bloomingdale’s or Walmart, fine dining or fast food, etc…

« Not much has changed since 1954 » This didn’t make any sense rather Racism. Dressing is not about money if you knew how to select your clothes that is why they said : the way you dress up measure your IQ. Chinese wearing their MAO’s dresses but since they tasted capitalism, they are dressing very expensively like anyone, who can afford it. Any said about that ? So it’s not only black affairs liking good durable quality things. Maybe blacks doing it in vulgar way with show off with designers instead of savings to help there communities. Gods said dress if you can afford in humble way.

Also, the negro doesn’t like to be called “negro” when shopping. They prefer customer…like everyone else😌😌😌

It hasn’t. And it’s sad to see generation after generation fall into the same traps. I used to be a slave for the brand names. Always broke trying to buy the best of the best.. Now i invest my money and build wealth. I’m gonna retire soon and live a good life with plenty $$$.
