Not sure this is a good take. She seems to ignore we had the USSR as a global hegemonic power between 1945 & 1991. This is a major omission. However, if you assume (the world = the west) then this is a good enough explanation.

While these content creators make it sound very plausible the reality isn’t so. Banks are parts of money system they are the what pipelines are to water system. A parallel argument may say that every dam is made for selling pipes! While govt gives us water declassified CIA files say behind every dam is billion dollars of pipes! Most decisions are limited by balance of incentives. We find those incentives we find the logic. I have confidence in luck, blunders and incompetence are more universal than any multiple-decade concerted actions towards some conspiratorial goal
