The Boring company is involved in lots of corruption, and prevented Las Angeles from getting a proper subway system; a transportation system that would have cut the traffic in half Solar panels on mars would get covered by sand and dust in less than a week Tesla Cybertruck is a piece of garbage, and I see no reason to have bulletproof vehicles on a planet with no bullets Combustion engines would actually help on mars because the co2 and greenhouse effect would make the atmosphere better and heat up the planet to more comfortable temperatures

The robot labor force is stupid because if you scale correctly it won't be necessary. Larger machines for larger areas or manufacturing. Small machines like 3d printing for smaller tools and such.. maybe some human Labor for research and development. That's it.

Of a sort… The thing is that mars needs to be developed as a whole functioning society, economy and all. So you can throw a dart at any industry and whatever it lands on is probably necessary. He could build a cupcake factory and we’d be like “so true, mars needs cupcakes!”

Money will open doors that many other things cannot, that includes opening the door to less mentally capable individuals calling you a genius. Some people are smart enough to make their ideas work, some people are smart enough to bring the right people together to make their ideas work.
