Not sure if true but is correct about AC. Anyone look into this?

I did an efficiency study on KVAR units about 10 years ago. What this gentleman is saying is somewhat correct. A KVAR unit greatly increases the efficiency of an inductive motor. It also lengthens the life of the motors. The issue is the actual cost savings. For expensive motors, they make great sense. For normal households, the electronic components of most appliances fail before the inductive motors; so, there is really no savings there. Most utility companies bill by the KWH and the unit has virtually no effect on overall power draw (only the inductive motors). We couldn’t make the units make financial sense on anything other than our large industrial inductive motors. The new technology may be better, but we could never make the payout make sense on the units we tested.

It is 100% true. I have built them. We called them a roto verter. I also figured out how to do it with single phase motors. There is instructions and a write of what I did and how to do this in Patrick Kelly's guide to free energy. Easy to find on Google.

This never occurred to me but makes sense! The power companies mess-up the frequency of AC power which causes devices to operate <50% efficiency, therefore, we must use 3x as much for the same task. He doesn’t say that but that’s what I inferred. Does that sound accurate?

At no point in that video did he say what the voltage was. Big difference between 120 and 277 on lighting. But do the same test on a general receptacle load. With something actually plugged in and watch what happens

I am an automation engineer for industrial process. And a guy who is obsessed with energy conservation systems and propulsion. It’s called a VFD and this dude doesn’t know anything about what he is seeing. 🤣 btw we have DFIG generators for some time now. 🤙

As far as I know... He mixed Power Factor, "resonate" and Frequency. Which isn't honest. -The frequency never changes from the main source, even after going through the transformer. -The "lost" in Amperage is from a bad PF- inductors need to be compensated with capacitors to realign their phase(s) so Voltage and Amperage are aligned in the time domain. -Hooking a transformer ("coil" - which is inductive like a motor) only worsens the problem. His "magic" to reduce amperage in this video is probably by simply running the motor first under voltage, then increasing the voltage via the transformer. a 100% perfect PF means a perfect equilibrium between inductance and capacitance. Watts and Reactive Watts are the same (1:1). Since many replies mention this: a "drive" (or VFD) which is used to control motor speed, is another subject. It plays with the frequency but creates a real mess on harmonics (electrical noises). There is no relation to this video.

He's correct, but most homes don't have enough inductive loads to make it cost effective. They use inductors or capacitors in plants and factories to correct the power factor to get as close to 1.0. Even at unity PF power is being consumed, it's just the most efficient

This is a bit bunk. Usually big electric motors have variable frequency drives or infinitely variable magnetic drives to temper incoming power to the frequency needed.
