Cordileone (all associated with U.S. Department of Justice’s Religious Liberty Commission) are willing to publicly defend Carrie Prejean Boller. My guess is that it was something to do with U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’s “Translate Hate: The Catholic Edition,” published in cooperation with American Jewish Committee (see pp. 51-53): God bless you, Carrie! Since Bishop Robert Barron has now publicly disavowed Carrie Prejean Boller (who did nothing wrong), I think it’s appropriate to recall what His Excellency told Ben Shapiro in 2018, when Shapiro asked him point-blank, “What’s the Catholic view on who gets into Heaven and who doesn’t? … Am I basically screwed here?” “No,” said Barron — to a man who rejects Our Lord. “The Catholic view — go back to the Second Vatican Council [which] says it very clearly. I mean, Christ is the privileged route to salvation.” Source: Where does Vatican II teach that Christ is “the privileged route to salvation”? It doesn’t. On the contrary, the Council says that Christ is “the one Mediator and the unique way of salvation”: “Basing itself upon Sacred Scripture and Tradition, it [the Council] teaches that the Church, now sojourning on earth as an exile, is necessary for salvation. Christ, present to us in His Body, which is the Church, is the one Mediator [cf. 1 Tim. 2:5] and the unique way of salvation [cf. Acts 4:12]. I respect Dinesh D'Souza and agree with him that Jesus Christ is the only path to salvation, but his comments raise an important question: If justification by faith isn't absolute and needs to be qualified in some ways, how do we clearly explain what it means to say Jesus is the only way? Romans and James do not contradict one another, and Scripture does not leave the means of salvation vague. We are justified by grace through faith in Christ, and that applies to every person, Jew and Gentile alike.

This young woman says she doesn’t want to go to heaven for a few reasons. People want to go to heaven because we love Jesus. The issue here is not wanting to go to heaven, it’s not seeing Jesus as enough. If you’re not relieved by the idea of no longer having to bear the burden of sin, then I’m afraid you haven’t understood who you are as a sinner and also the beauty of the gospel and the hope we have in eternity. Heaven will be forever communion with Jesus, the one who died for us and saved us. It’s not heaven you’re not wanting, it’s Christ.
