A very dear friend of mine wouldn't speak to me for six years after I came out because I had "lied to him." Constantly pretending and hiding as a means of protection, and spending every night praying for God to "fix" me isn't the same as malicious deception.

I know if someone pretended to be checking out guys with me and it turned out he wasn’t into guys, I’d be pissed, so I understand why his friend felt that way. I was hoping we’d come far enough that guys didn’t have to lie about who they are, but I guess we still have work to do.

Same happened to me in college 31 years ago. Told my very good friend I was gay and he was pissed that I hid it for 4 years.

One reason these color flag are being removed is because other people are starting to want their flag painted everywhere and hung around too and we just can' have it. The only flag should be the United States flag.

I think the gay community has gotten such a bad rap because of behaviors like "dick dock" gay bathouses, cruising areas etc. that our fears of coming out are relative to what the rest of society thinks of those behaviors. That isn't the gay community. There is a majority of gay people who don't behave that way. We need to start concentrating on normal gay people instead of the disgusting underbelly of those abhorrent behaviors.

Fortunately, we have gay content creators like Chris Stanley and Art Bezrukavenko who promote the rest of us who are in relationships and have strong morals and promote that instead of the majority of gay content creators who promote the D docks and bathhouses. Bravo Chris. ❤️❤️

Coming out isn't about what others think, it's about what you're ready and willing to accept. It's 2026 in America - being gay is boring and no one cares. Most gays do care thought and hide to protect themselves from a reality they don't want. You dress up in cartoon, right?
