NotebookLLM grokked a rough essay I wrote about "Evolutionary Simulation Theory." It's hard to argue this isn't demonstrating near-AGI level cognition. Insane. I doubt many humans would unpack this as well as it did here. Countless ways to misunderstand it, but it didn't.

I just tried this on one of my own articles and my conscious mind 100% buys that this is a recording of two humans who have both read and mostly comprehended it, with a lot of nuance and believable slight misunderstandings. IT’S OVER

To me this suggests that internally Google have some vastly more advanced tech than we've seen. The interaction between the hosts is so natural in places that I'm stunned. My theory is that they've fine-tuned a model on many thousands of hours of this type of two person podcast.

That's one smart parrot. All jokes aside, this is insane and even more insane that no one is talking about NotebookLM. I need to get more plugged in because idk how I'm just hearing about this now

This is incredible. Maybe the intraterrestrials see us nearing the Singularity and are here to make sure we don't let the ASI turn the earth into a paperclip factory. We are getting ready to join the ASI club:

The couple of outputs I’ve seen from this have been jarringly solid. Have you seen the illuminate thing they’ve got? Not sure if it’s the same team but it’s interesting in a similar way

But there's nothing original. It's repeating other people's ideas and concepts.
