This is massive. Gemini Live can now take actions across apps. You can ask it to open apps like YouTube Music and play songs just by talking to it. It can also open other apps, but the actions it can perform are still limited and depend on the app. So far, I’ve tested: - YouTube Music - YouTube - Google Keep Notes, where it can create and save notes - Setting alarms - Camera controls, including taking pictures

Osman and I have designed PeekNotes, a fully functional Swift app, to fix that. Imagine a stack of notes right below your camera, accessible with a simple hover—no clicks, no complex navigation. I love using transcription when taking notes, but i’m not a huge fan of a lot of the apps that offer it. I also don’t like in-meeting note takers. So naturally I built a Raycast extension for transcribing notes. It transcribes both audio input and system audio and uses AI to summarise and copy to clipboard
