Nothing could have withstood these waters. Nepal is facing a massive flash flood in Rasuwa, with at least 10+ deaths reported and many still missing.HP and UK saw this kind of devastation last year, and now Nepal. Honestly, makes me remember the Dharali floods. #Nepal

-This is Nepal -Nepal used to be a Hindu monarchy -Nepal was happy and prosperous under the Hindu monarchy -As always, communist propagandists dragged Nepal into a civil war and were successful, leading to the abolition of the monarchy -People are finally realizing their mistake after seeing the results of communist rule -Nepal is facing demographic challenges as many illegal immigrants have entered the country -These clashes are becoming the norm now, which was unheard of during the Hindu monarchy

A woman trapped in Nepal’s devastating floods was rescued by the Nepal Army. She has lost everything - her home, her family, everything she had. She sits in shock, with fear visible on her face, as if she still cannot believe what has suddenly happened to her. The Nepal Army deserves immense appreciation for risking their own lives to save people trapped in these dangerous conditions. The devastation in Nepal is truly heartbreaking. So many lives have been lost, families have been torn apart, and countless people have lost their homes and everything they had. It is heartbreaking to witness the scale of this disaster. 💔

I’m in Nepal with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, starting a 6-day visit with the President Ram Chandra Paudel and First Lady in Kathmandu. The UK is Nepal’s longest diplomatic relationship, Sophie and Edward’s visit “aims to salute the past and reinforce UK-Nepal shared future”.

This massive boulder is so heavy that it takes nearly ten men to move it. Now imagine the force of the flash floods in Nepal that carried a rock like this straight into someone's home.

"In Chitwan, Nepal, a flood is raging – the Narayani River is overflowing, crashing against a statue, but the Buddha remains calm, unwavering, compassionate, and still. A powerful reminder: the external storm may come, but inner peace remains unshaken. Prayers for Nepal, for all those affected. May the waters recede, may safety return, and may peace prevail."

One of the most heartbreaking videos from the Nepal floods. Sitting by the very same river that within seconds took away your family, home, town, everything, on what was a bright normal day. A brutal reminder that life can change in seconds and nothing is permanent. #Nepal

Really horrific news out of Nepal. Many villages are completely gone, hundreds of people are unaccounted for in terrain that makes any search brutally hard. For anyone asking how a flood like this arrives when no rain occurred in the last few weeks, this is the mechanism - GLOF
