@BradleyWhitford That show tackled a lot of issues that were taboo on TV then. It may sound silly, but I learned a lot about prejudice and decency from All in the Family.

I was ten when this aired and no one thought it was a threat to me. I learned and my brother learned and we grew up to be compassionate people. I am beyond distressed to know that we are still facing the same issues almost fifty years later. My heart breaks.

46 years later and it still breaks my heart...

I loved this show. I was a kid, but I still understood that some of the things this show talked about were things we should be talking about and dealing with as a society. I was 13 when this episode aired and as with many episodes of this show, I have never forgotten it.

I graduated from high school that year and I was ok with everyone being who they wanted to be back then and ok with it right now. I guess it depends on who raised you.

As long as most of us stand aside quietly while terrorists/bullies assault someone, nothing will change and trauma will fill your life. Stop bigotry every time you hear it or see it. Mature men are strong enough to lead with love and mutual respect.

I remember this episode as a kid and being super sad. It was a very complicated show that was a sign of the times for good and bad.
