This time, I replaced the games default CNN models with native 4K to show how the DLSS Transformer model compares against native TAA / TSR. In most cases, Preset L and M offer good image quality at 4K in Performance Mode. But right now, I think the biggest and most noticeable visual issue with these new presets is the oversharpening in some games, like The Last of Us. This problem is even more obvious at this resolution especially with Preset M.

It’s not easy to showcase the visual differences because of the capture, export, and the extra compression from Twitter and YouTube but If the difference isn’t obvious, focus on the tree at the end of the run. Generally, I recommend trying the new presets and seeing for yourself, but do this only if you have an RTX 40/50 series GPU.

In #WhereWindsMeet, The Ultra Preset ≠ Custom (Max Settings). Here I got around 80 FPS when going from The Performance Preset to Custom (Max Settings) but switching to Ultra Preset drops it to 66 FPS. It Looks like the Ultra preset cranks up some hidden graphics settings. (1/2)
