Nothing screams entitlement more than protesting to stay home to work. Countless people are out of work, and I’m certain any one of them would be happy to have a public servant job like theirs.

Lazy pricks. Taxpayers have to haul their asses out of bed, get dressed, commute in ungodly traffic, and then have a big chunk of their money stolen to pay for these useless fucks. I've worked with people who "worked from home." They were taking their kids to school and picking them up, doing their laundry, meeting friends for long lunches, and disappearing entirely on Friday afternoons. When you used Slack to reach them, they didn't respond for hours even though you could see that they'd logged on. (Logged on and screwed off.) WFH is a scam, just like everything else these days.

Fire 90% of them and not only would taxpayers save lots of money, productivity would actually go up, as much of what these nitwits do is enforce unnecessary regulations.

If any industry goes work from home it should be private companies not civil servants. As a former ottawa resident, I can confirm there is no larger parasite to canada than civil servants in ottawa.

If you’re hired WFH then WFH. If you’re hired to be in the office then get your ass into the office. Those were the terms that you were hired with.

It's amazing how efficient some of them got. They managed to get all of the required done in the morning and take the rest of the day off.

Here’s the thing, they proven that production is better at home than in the office. Not only that, but a lot of the workers were hired for strictly home. The obvious reason, is that there is not enough room in the buildings for everyone, these people were hired during the pandemic. So I agree with the workers on this. I have several friends in my area of Nova Scotia and the buildings are not as big as they would be in Ottawa for example.

If they want the ability to wfh then get a job in the private sector. Public SERVANTS should be in the office where hopefully our data is secure. There is zero way to ensure security when they are on from home.

There was one thing that bound workers together and its something the Union should understand, that is we all got up and went to work. A shared experience across the board. It allowed the unions to flourish. Now the 22% or so of remote capable union members seem to think they are better class of workers and that being in a union affords them this right, explain that to the cashiers and cooks and mechanics that pay their damn salaries. Union support is eroding at a record pace, because of this shit right here.

So they can't leave home to go to work but they can leave home to protest.

Well, of course they all work for the useless government. Their heads are never out of their phones. That's why you can never get through to them.

I think after the humiliation inflicted by covid measures, I'm all for employees exploiting measures that are convenient for them. No traffic, no nogs, more time for yourself.

In the private sector jobs, if employer informs you to work in the office 4 days a week, you have 2 choices. Either quit or refuse and you will be fired for insubordination. Legally Just cause for being fired. Public servants in federal, provincial govmt unions have created an

No kidding, fire the lot, but unfortunately they have more protection than any worker should and get away with anything they decide! There are so many people that could only dream of the salary and perks these idiots get!

Get back to the office, or quit. You only have 2 choices.

The statistics show that in the Public Service, working at home is at least as productive as working at the office.

Shouldn’t they be working? If they have time to protest, then it’s time to terminate with cause for abandoning there post. Fire each and every government employee that fails to show up at work when required.

This is embarrassing. They should all be fired and the government needs to hire people who want to work, enjoy working and look forward to contributing to a team in an office.

It's my dream to work really hard and get an advanced university degree then get a job where I'm part of a labour union where promotions are determined by seniority.
