Nothing will change with any government we get until the dependency on the government changes. Side note: I truly believe that's the Trump administrations goal at the end of the day.

People need to understand the government TAKE from others to GIVE to others. The government produces nothing. They simply take.

If you never have to earn anything you will never respect anything. Gonna be hard to break the generational welfare cult.

Those programs need to go back to how they were intended They’re supposed to be TEMPORARY ie short term only People weren’t meant to raise their entire family and then grandchildren on these programs They need to implement strict time limits and IMO raise the income caps to qualify I’ve known plenty of blue color adults who have experienced temporary income loss, often outside their control. I don’t mind some of my taxes going to help my fellow CITIZENS TEMPORARILY Example: I knew a woman who worked at a call center as a customer service representative. She was involved in a car accident that was not her fault but because she had broken her arm and couldn’t perform the duties of the job, she was fired. Under current guidelines she didn’t qualify as her previous income was above the maximum income amount. There’s tons of different potential scenarios I’ve known people in my area who not only raised their children in government subsidized housing but their grandchildren as well. This is part of why the HUD housing list has been frozen for 6 years. If they never have to leave, why would they?

You are exactly right. If the screwballs in government ever “fixed” anything…. You would not need them.

The thing is, I live without the government’s help and you live without it too. So it’s not IMPOSSIBLE to live without food stamps. You just have to work harder. That’s the problem tho. People don’t want to admit it or hear it but it’s true.

And that’s why I follow you. You’re 💯 right. I think the government should merely be or act as brokers to fix infrastructure, create things that benefit the citizens, ensure the law is upheld, offer solutions for the betterment of society. Should not be regarded as celebrities.
