In a feminist society the sweats seems to signal I don't need anybody to help me in a society where a real woman showing femininity is valued then help is always on the way. A masculine lesbian would want to help her gender has nothing to do with it it's the cues.

IMO she looks like she’s doing fine in the sweats. I feel like the men were being courteous with the skirt. They were trying to help her so she didn’t have to bend over and struggle in a short skirt.

Or maybe it is because all those men were oldies earlier, and later all were young. So seems the young generation is better at helping strangers.

Is it attractiveness that people or responding to or is it perceived competence based on being dressed well to do a Job. Also when dressed in the tracksuit the lady just tried to pick up the boxes but in the skirt she looked for help

All the men that walked by while she was in sweats were older gentlemen. I am a woman and know that older men at this point can’t even act like decent humans because women or young women make it seem like if they do anything nice it’s for a reason or they are perverts etc.

Ok I’m going to have the controversial take that always gets me dragged on X, specially with Americans. When we get out of the house as if we just rolled out of bed, it’s bad for the self and society in general for a myriad of reasons. It shouldn’t be surprising that putting effort into your appearance matters. I know the angle here is that she was sexy and that’s why she got helped, but I think if she was wearing a modest dress she would have gotten the same result. Presenting yourself pleasantly to others makes them treat you… more pleasantly. It’s not just about that, it’s that wearing PJs/ sweats everywhere is to some degree kinda like wearing massive headphones in public. You come across as if you’re in your own world and don’t care to be approached - because you’re literally presenting yourself the same way that you could have gone to bed. You can be mad about this fact but it won’t make it less true. Putting effort into how you present yourself will have direct influence in how you get treated by strangers.
