Oingo Boingo: Weird Science (1985). The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo started as a street theatre troop and appeared on the Gong Show in 1976. By 1979 they had become a rock (and sometimes pop) band and in 1985 did the theme song for John Hughes's movie Weird Science. Danny Elfman says he wrote the song spontaneously in the car after getting the call from Hughes. There's a range of synths on this, including the Yamaha DX7. I think they also used the DX5 when they played this on tour.
