What do the current movements represent for the GCC? One more stage. According to Kpler, between the 19th and 21st about 70 ships crossed the strait. I know that 40% of them in the last 24h and paying a toll to Iran. Everything in this letter of intent about peace sounds strange, but it fulfills the objective in stages and the main one of them is to relieve the gulf economies. The GCC countries, with the exception of Saudi Arabia, were for about 3 months without exporting by maritime routes. An unsustainable situation that would severely affect the world economy. Fulfilling this stage, the US relieves the gulf economies and also the global supply, which was close to chaos especially regarding jet-fuel. Iran received authorization to export globally for 60 days, which should collaborate even more for the recovery of global reserves. This is another point of this strategic stage, which aims to relieve the markets and the GCC countries. It is a movement to release the blood flow in areas that were gangrening. Nothing changed with regard to Iran and soon the picture returns to the previous state, because as I say, there is no relief in the support to militias, missiles, or the gulf toll. The IAEA inspections, those yes can happen again and are a victory for Trump, if we can say so, but rejected by Israel. The toll issue is another nerve point that did not exist before and now imposes more costs on the GCC countries. The release of the frozen Iranian money is another point of friction, with JD Vance saying today that the Iranian money will go to American farmers, in a Venezuela-style speech. YO ADRIAN! I DID IT! Update on my TMNT SNES port. This is the most extensive OAM overhaul I've ever done with a port, and I'm damn proud of myself! Lot of reverse engineering with the OG OAM engine, and I was finally able to incorporate a new method of writing to the buffer. This game does some heavy ADC/TAX for OAM buffer rotation to try to work around the sprite flicker. But that ADC/TAX rotation was complicating things for me when I was trying to incorporate a 16-bit index engine. What is also tricky, is that this game uses 8x16 sprites, and what is special on the NES, its hardware creates the bottom 8x8 sprite tile, without the need of the OAM to have it present. You can't do that on the SNES, you have to create that 2nd 8x8 sprite tile within code. The reason this is such a big deal, is before with 8x16 titles i've worked on, I would first simply copy the games original oam buffer to my snes buffer, but that addded alot of extra cpu time, this is present in my Legend of Zelda SNES port. Later ports I've done, I don't do that anymore, I modify the games original storage of OAM values, and send them directly to my custom snes OAM buffer, eliminating extra cpu cycles. So what's the big deal? My method of doing 8x16 sprites, is using my first 256 byte oam buffer for the top 8x8 tile, and my second 256 byte oam buffer for the bottom 8x8 tile. The issue I was having, was errors with sprite priority when sprites overlap each other. I noticed this right away during the dam sequence where the turtles have to disarm the bombs. Here is a before and after my port. Now I can finally move on with the port! 🙂

Had the weirdest debates on i24NEWS Arabic. When asked about Iran escalation by targeting Gulf countries, Professor Ali al-Hail from Qatar blamed Israel, saying the MoU has Qatar and Turkey as part of it, but left out Israel and Arab countries that have normalized relations with her (blaming the UAE without naming it). The MoU ended the Greater Israel plan that the professor seems to understand to mean Israel from the Atlantic Ocean to the borders of India. The anchor then came to me, and I took him down like this: There is a problem in Dr. Ali's sequence and logic. According to statements from Qatari and Saudi foreign ministries, Iran struck their gas and oil tankers in Hormuz. How is Israel part of this? I also said the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) was divided into two: The spine vs the spineless. The spine included three-- UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait. The spineless was also three -- Saudi, Qatar and Oman. When GCC held a summit with Sec Rubio in Bahrain, the spineless signed on the strong final statement, but then they sent their delegations to Khamenei's funeral, and Iran still struck them. For the Gulf, the problem is Islamic Iran, not Israel like the professor was saying. He kept on going with Gaza and 70,000 children and women killed and repeating the same line like a broken disc.

SimCity for the Super Famicom released 35 years ago today on April 26th, 1991 in Japan. This is one of those SNES games I could just lose hours in. I love 2000 (especially on PC) but the simplicity of the original game with a controller is nice and cozy. I wasn't the best mayor a sim could ask for, especially when I was younger than 10 and the disasters were my favorite part. I did try and slowly learn the game, though. You probably can't tell from my gameplay, as I've forgotten a lot. I know this is far, far from optimal. The music deserves a special nod. Maxis' music evolved over the years especially to The Sims, but one thing remained constant. It was never intrusive, yet still there and wonderful. It's also very calming, a perfect match to the serenity of the city building. I very much needed this today. Apologies to anyone I've missed and will miss the replies to. It's been a rough weekend. Take care of yourselves. #RetroGaming
