Now I know not to get my future dream camper from Camping World

Same exact thing happened to me minus the mileage. Bought the camper for 28k 2 years ago and they offered 14 for it. The guy said ‘just to prove to you the value we will look up your model on our site.’ Guess the value for my model on their site….range.. 24-28k. I hate @CampingWorld . They’ve been repairing my slide out..I thought. Brought it in July 1st, called beginning of August. The guy said ‘the tech didn’t write any notes but from what I remember he said the roller for the slide out can’t be fixed’ he also preceded to tell me that he was sorry but it seemed they completely forgot about my camper on the lot. Then goes on to tell me they are low on technician’s due to firing and the service manager may be fired. I bought the extended warranty, my slide out literally collapses downward on the right side when bringing it in, it’s splitting the base board and digs into the floor. I looked on the left side, it has the roller to keep it level coming in but the right side is missing it. At this point my camper has been in their shop a total of 8 months on and off over the last two years. At this point I’m ready to sue.

Thankfully my Dad always said, " Never buy a car, truck or RV new, let the other guy eat the depreciation" He saved me a ton of money....he also said," Never take your car to the dealer, unless it's warranty work." Thanks Dad.....RIP

Subtract 25% to 30% off the sticker and tell them, that’s my OTD price my loan officer will give me. Also ask four free AI’s what you should pay. They are pretty good. I use the $2 mile rule to buy vehicles, campers and trailers etc at the destination as well. So I’ll drive 1K miles to save $2K. So that averages $1 per mile round trip. And sometimes I use it as a small vacation to hit a few parks etc… For instance I’ll buzz out to Colorado Springs from Missouri to save 1500$ and see Pikes Peak etc…

Camping World made me an offer to buy my camper over the phone then when I got there 1 1/2 drive they cut the offer in half saying they had made a mistake. Sound familiar?

This is common practice to offer reasonable over phone then later lowball offer in person, they are counting on you *needing money, already invested in the process eg traveling 125 miles etc. Always get them to send their offer on paper. Also there was never a vin issue, it is the excuse to deny their unethical business practices

Don't go to camping world or anywhere else. Campers are just about all garbage, made out of bullshit materials like particle board and luan, designed to fail. If they're worth a shit,, you probably can't afford them.

Yea, bought a 23 model pioneer, it was falling apart a yr later. They're mandatory roof sealant disappears in the sun. Filed bankruptcy a yr ago on it, its final and they still haven't came and got it
