Senator Irrelevant, it’s public until the government says it’s not! During COVID you locked us out of outdoor space several times! And, every time we reduce spending you close public spaces to make sure we notice! Stick your BS were the sun don’t shine!

Maybe a country run by greedy, craven billionaires is a bad idea. They are coming for it all! We don't have to live like this!

@SenatorFischer @PeteRicketts please work with @SenatorHeinrich to remove the proposal put forth by Senator Mike Lee to sell off our public lands. Selling off our most treasured assets is a violation of the public trust.

The United States government owns well over 600 million acres of land, about 28% of the land area of the entire country. The Feds own over 27% of the land in New Mexico, but that seems paltry next to the over 80% of Nevada and 63% of Utah owned by the Feds. The Republican bill would take a maximum of 3 million acres, roughly 0.5% of government owned land. I find it highly improbable that they are going to choose areas that are very popular with the public to sell. They aren’t going to be selling Yellowstone, Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, or White Sands. Marty once again fear mongering. Why does the federal own so much land in western states? Shouldn’t these states have more control over lands within their boundaries?
