John Thune retaining the Obama parliamentarian is nuts ( why???) it is normal to change this support position each time the senate changes party majority. And when I add the straight up lie Thune said that he doesn’t have the votes is flat out wrong ….we have 50 plus JDVance so why not have a talking filibuster and get this done???? If this senate takes another vacation or doesn’t pass this save act, I am personally moving to North Dakota so I can vote against him if he reruns in 2028💩aren’t there 27 strong republicans in the senate to get a new leader?

It would need more than 50. Let’s say they put the Save Act in the budget reconciliation, the parliamentarian advises to remove it because of the Byrd rule & Vance overrules. Then any Senator can challenge his overrule, & they would have to bring it to a vote in the Senate, & they would have to get 60 votes for his overrule to stand. Anything that “violates” the Byrd rule would need 60 votes.
