I am no Marathi speaker bt Hindi speakers need to climb down from the high horse. Every non Hindi speaking states should make it mandatory to learn the local language. Many North Indian in Tamil Nadu speak Tamil cos not speaking it is not an option if one wants to climb success.

I think everyone irrespective of whichever state ur from,if ur living in another state for a long time or settled there it will real nice of u learn atleast the basics of the local language of that state.Tourists & ppl who come for a short while can& should be exempted from that.

मराठी ही प्रेमानेच शिकवली गेली आहे आत्तापर्यंत पण बहुतांश उत्तर भारतीय असे आहेत की जे म्हणतात आम्हाला नाही शिकायची तुम्हाला काय करायचं आहे ते करा. आता महाराष्ट्रात येऊन ज्या प्रकारे ते बोलत आहेत. ते कुणी शांत पणे ऐकून घेईल का. मग ज्यांना जी भाषा कळते त्या भाषेत उत्तर द्यावे लागते

Even that crow has common sense. Why Hindi should be imposed on common marathi speaking passengers within MH itself for convenience of few auto drivers? Show me 1 auto driver, just 1 in UP/Bihar who does NOT know Hindi. No one is asking Auto drivers to speak only Marathi 24X7
