Now that’s a fort

I called bullshit on the “one day ago”.

Yeah I’m not buying it unless he was tweaking

@MotherPhuquer A hideout like that is a tweaker’s dream. You can finally hide from the voices

@washghost1 I can never hide from the voices…

@802beertender @washghost1

Goals

I want to build a bunch of interconnected ones

Alright man. I guess I’m not manly enough to even think of this.

Reminds me of the Nam tunnels 😂

Make carbon monoxide poisoning great again! 😬

You are one rain away from a swimming pool buddy.

Boy did he earn that rest. That saw though I have ti find out what brand that is.

It was a workhorse

Cut that wood like a hot knife through butter.

It must be nice to shovel in a place where there’s no roots, clay or rocks immediately under 6 inches of topsoil

What do you do if it rains? Looks like a pool waiting to happen.

DANG! JUST GO TO COURT BRO! IT'S A TRAFFIC TICKET!

Big mistake: no sump. Should have dug a low spot for water to flow to.

First time it rains it will be full of water.

A gardener from Canada dedicated his life to bonsai and has grown his own mini forest in 50 years.

I find it strange he is not hitting roots as he digs. I say fake.

This could only work in the perfect climate. If you did that where I live that thing would be full of water. And the bugs would’ve ran your pussy ass off as soon as you stirred up leaves

Two issues: where does the smoke exhaust and how do you hide it? Also, you're going to want to do something about the straight edge on the bottom of that cut giant log pointing right at your "fort." And as others have mentioned: rain drainage and ventilation.

I’d kill to have such sandy and loose dirt. Not here, every shovel sink hits some kind of rock, large or small. The guessing part is part of the lore..

Everyone’s talking about drainage and ventilation, but what about natural light? 24/7 darkness like that is no small challenge.

How do you dig down that much and not hit a big rock, I literally cant dig 1 foot down without having to hit boulders every where. Everyone has atleast a personal mini excavator

Bears gonna be like

I could probably live out my days down there.

@JordyHalo80 Would definitely be peaceful

I grew up in Maryland and we made all kinds of underground forts as kids. None this elaborate but some lasted years. I think it depends on the soils and plants. We had a lot of clay - I made pottery out of the dirt so building a fort was easy. We had a jail, a house, tunnels, etc

Isn’t it going to fill up with water?

Now that’s impressive

Very

it won't last without a waterproof barrier on the sides. what happens when it rains? what happens when bugs start eating through the walls?

Should have lined the pit with clay to create a moisture barrier. All those wooden logs are just going to start rotting whenever rainwater permeates the surrounding soil.

The number of trees he wasted for Tiktok likes inspired nonsense is enormous.

Men will do anything to get 10 mins away from thier wives

Would

I'm packing my stuff now 😂😂

We used to make underground forts all the time Good times

Nice!!

There’s going to be foot long centipedes living down there within a month

Whenever I see stuff like this or Primitive Technology, I can't help but feel kinda cheated that all of the stuff I did as a kid was but the tip of the iceberg for outdoor boy project possibilities.

It rains and depending where that is? You now have a log lined pool.

The Oregon State government about to be knocking on his stump asking for their property taxes

next time i need to build myself an airtight underground prison cell i'll watch this video again

I’m not convinced rain wouldn’t absolutely wreak havoc on that underground space
