Didn't the lady in the front office have something to do with it? I'm pretty sure she told them to go in there, and then when she was pressed by the cops, she said that she didn't tell them that. But I'm sure I remember all them saying that she told them they could. It's been a while, so I could be wrong.

This seems like a perfectly logical situation. Maintenance gets these kinds of orders all the time. Arresting them for a misunderstanding is ridiculous.

It's true I've worked an apartment complexes and management will tell us the tenants have moved out and that we have free range of whatever's left before it's thrown away . So yes I believe the three are innocent

Yeah normally the office staff manager or assistant manager got to give them permission to do this. But it seems like none of them know their policy cause pretty much everywhere you go there should be a 30 60 or 90 day hold on residents property.

My last solo apartment is the reason why I moved majority of my shoe collection to storage. Caught the guy in my shoe room taking pics of the shoes. I ain’t never seen a man beg, one because he got caught and I had my 9 on my hip. I moved the next month.

I really believe management told them to do exactly what they said. But it’s not in writing or no records of it so you know they’re going to deny it. If they had no previous arrest for stealing. I’d tell police cut them loose. Just bring me my 💩.

I work in Property management, once the resident is out of the unit that is when we can go in & get whatever is left behind if we choose to. 9x out of 10 the mgr gave them the green light. Prosecutor should dig deeper bc Maintenance were just following order from their superior
