There’s been a change in how Market Wide Position Limits (MWPL) are calculated for stock derivatives. Earlier, when a stock entered the F&O ban period for breaching MWPL, it was based on notional open interest (OI). From December 6, 2025, that method has changed. Instead of just counting contracts, exchanges now measure future-equivalent (delta-based) open interest. This changes how ban periods are triggered and how F&O positions can be adjusted once a stock is in the ban. In this video, Karthik Rangappa 🇮🇳 explains how the new delta-based OI framework works and what it means for futures and options traders.

There is one beautiful feature in Opstra in the Open Interest section where you can see how OI change has taken place in 3-15-30 min time intervals during the day As you can see in this video how call writers were ruling the 24300 strike price at 11:30am and then suddenly how put writers took over the same strike price in the next 1 hour or so.. I have seen this video in many WhatsApp groups, and many of you sent it to me too. The solution to this problem is for Mnangagwa’s Government to license Starlink and open up the market. But will that happen? Old technology is expensive to run, new technology makes things cheaper. Without Starlink the price of data will remain ridiculously high because of less competition and of course the economy is in a free fall too.

The language of "Market Price" is the language of a buyer, not a seller. NCBA shares were trading below Ksh 70 before the initial information of an imminent transaction. The transaction price from NedBank is Ksh 102. The parties knew what the share price was but they went for the value. EABL shares are currently trading at Ksh 244 in the market, but Diageo is selling their 65% stake in the same company to a Japanese Company, Asahi for at Ksh 590 per share. Rea Vipingo was trading at Ksh 27.5 in the market, but it was bought out at Ksh 85. Only self interest can cloud the correct judgement and decision from being made and executed. Kenya deserves better. We are African and Africa is our Business..

The price updates and now the same items cost 28% more There were no ending sales to account for the change. This is just a system jacking up prices because you showed interest $45.98 -> $58.98 This is exactly what airlines were caught doing
