Great idea, they should give us the option to withdraw the interest. Let them keep the Principal

Great idea

40% phased in two halves from 40-50 years make sense. There should be a room for making mistakes and learning from them without completely crushing

Good idea

Boss, you rightly stated that at 46, life can be financially demanding children’s education, mortgages, businesses, family responsibilities and countless other obligations. That is precisely why giving people 40% of their NSSF savings at that age could be dangerous. The question is not whether people need the money. They obviously do. The question is whether giving it to them now protects or undermines their future. NSSF is meant to protect us in retirement. If we use our retirement savings to solve today’s problems, what will protect us when tomorrow’s income disappears? We must be careful not to solve the financial pressures of 46 by creating a bigger financial crisis at 60.

We need to interact more so we exchange how getting my benefits early and utilizing it well keeps me smiling

I actually need to visit your farm! sometime back in the village, I had an association called KAKI. When I came to Kampala in 2002, I discovered KAKI Investments with a large fleet of taxis and people often assumed they belonged to my association! You have been a serial entrepreneur. A lot to learn from you. I have also overtime discovered that not all people are meant to be entrepreneurs.

They should allow people to access and use the interest after one has contributed for 10 years. They can keep the principal since it increases every month.

I am in my prime 40s and would love to access this fund for developmental purposes but stuck. I want settle down but I’m still a vagabond in apartments and rentals.

Thank u, thank u , God bless u

Blessings too

That would make much sense

Thanks

This is wisdom

Thanks

We should be the ones thanking you sir. 🙏🙏

This proposal can easily collapse fund! Though it would ne the right thing so that people invest when still strong

Thanks for the knowledge sir 🤝

Thanks

You're Spot on Mwami Kakiika. NSSF Should give a Substantial Amount/Percentage to the Save when still Strong, Mentally Fit and with room to recover in case of Loss. If I remember well the Midterm (45yrs) Access law Amendment was passed during the COVID period which

Makes good financial sense

I dont recommend, many people will waste the money.

Well said Mr Kakiika.

A good proposal

The comment that nssf interest rates have aleays beaten the inflationary rate isn't correct. Did you see the interest rates that nssf awarded post the Jamwa saga? 3%, 5% & 8% (2010, 2011, 2012)

12yrs consistently 2 digits and you decade old History

Good submission Director

.@nssfug great idea

Thanks so much

Good one

A retirement benefits scheme like NSSF is not primarily meant to be a capital accumulation fund to startup a business. It is a "safety" fund. Business & markets are dynamic in away that can deplete that safety. Let's look for business capital from elsewhere.

You're Theoretically right Professor. Let's interact further so that I share the practical ways I raised capital including social benefits paid to me at 35yrs.

I am here, lets see what you have to say.

NSSF will not take it.

If not NSSF should champion a law that allows us to borrow on our savings.
