NSUGBE, ANAMBRA: The DNKI (Vikings) cult group has said that they have apprehended the Number 1 man of their group in the area where the little baby was initiated. According to them, it was in Nsugbe, Anambra State (Naijalina Town Deck). Naija Confra cannot yet confirm the reason or motive behind this new video shared by Vikings today. ANAMBRA STATE: The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, and the Anambra State Police PRO, SP Tochukwu Ikenga — officers whom Naija Confra once held in high regard — are now becoming some of the worst performers when it comes to handling cult-related violence, and we sincerely hope they begin to change their approach. Naija Confra praises people when they do well, but also call them out when they fail in their duties. Since the initiation of a 3-year-old baby by DNKI (Vikings) cultists on October 15 in Nsugbe, Anambra State, the Anambra State Police Command has done absolutely nothing about the case — no statement, no investigation update, and not even a single post on their social media pages. Meanwhile, when it was initially thought to have happened in Delta State, the Delta State Police Command acted swiftly and effectively. This unseriousness from the Anambra State Police may eventually allow these criminals to escape from the country. It was this same Anambra where, on March 29 midnight, security operatives busted an NBM (Aye) cult initiation, yet the leader of the group, who organized the initiation that saw many di£, is still walking freely and now even heads a faction of the cult group nationally. This is unacceptable. The Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo, and the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, must step in immediately. Furthermore, you introduced a law that prohibited non-Anambra indigenes from owning permanent shops in any market in Anambra. This was only revised during the first tenure of Governor Obiano due to his intervention. If you doubt me go and ask Obi Why he tried to prevent Obiano from running for a second term let him answer. Now, you are talking about ethnic politics, but do you recall when the Slaughter Market at Ugu Oba, which was dominated by Fulanis, was shut down during your tenure? FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike blasts Peter Obi for criticising him over the poor state of a school he visited yesterday in Abuja Wike said: I heard one of the social media presidential candidates went to a public school and was saying that the government has abandoned public schools. In particular, his name is Peter Obi. It's not everything you must play politics with, but let me say this. Peter Obi, you were governor for eight years in Anambra State. When you were governor, why didn't you do your birthday in IDP camp. It's now that you want to be president that you remembered to celebrate your birthday with the less privileged.

He reportedly spent three days in captivity before his family paid ransom for his release. After the incident, the Nigerian police successfully recovered his vehicle and kept it at the police headquarters in Awka, Anambra State. However, after the de@th of his father in January 2025, Basil returned to the station to reclaim his car. On his first visit, he reportedly saw the vehicle, took a picture of it, and left. When he later returned to complete the process of retrieving it, the police were allegedly unable to provide the vehicle again. Up till now, Basil says he has not seen his car, while Harrison Gwamnishu claims information reaching him suggests that a senior police officer allegedly sold the vehicle.
