Ethylene Oxide is used to sterilise medical equipment. It vaporises & there is no Ethylene oxide residue on the swab. If any is left the swab would be of no use as it will kill the organism that is being collected for testing. We use EO swabs daily to collect bacteria gor the lab

Can someone explain Why the swab needs to be projected to the nasal pharyngeal? Last I looked at the nasal cavity, mucus runs down. Wouldn’t swabbing the inner nostril be adequate? What satanic ritual is this to swab so far up and cause pain and potential damage? No need IMO.

I was a covid tester for 2 years. Snot runs downhill and it's purpose is to clean the nasal cavity. I used Q tips swirled at the Nasal entrance, or had little ones blow into a kleenex. Double tested against "recommended techniques". 100 % consistent results. Just sayin
