The cops actually made it worse in this situation. 1. She said she’s starving 2. She seems unhoused and likely traumatized from living outside in the elements exposed to danger. 3. How the hell is she going to get out if y’all keep tugging on the tent while she’s in it?

Many sick people are homeless... sadly this is another one that needs to be institutionalized.

Technically raiding a person's tent without a warrant is a 4th & 5th amendment rights violation at the least. Even police had a warrant, a good lawyer could get a lot of money off a case like this due to the many constitutional rights violations.

This is horrible. This is a woman with nothing but a tent and a whole lot of demons in her head, and in comes countless large men with guns and lasers (as well as an attack dog). They tear her tent apart, as she’s literally screaming she’s terrified. We HAVE to do better. A female cop could’ve came and literally talked her out in a peaceful matter. WHY? This is wrong. We need to compassion. Amy one of us could’ve gone down a very bad road given the right circumstances. That someone’s daughter, sister, friend.

Instead of de-escalating the situation by only one officer giving commands, they went in like blood thirsty gangbusters hoping to get a kill. The woman had no value to them or you apparently. Sad.
