Early 2000's graphics I can never get tired of

2000 was wild. Everyone was terrified Y2K had broken everything and Nvidia was just sitting there making lightning look like that

This reminds me of those old random-walk pipe screensavers

now we get instagram filters

I remember the time when 3dfx voodoo cards was the the state of the art and nvidia was seen as a lame concurrent, until nvidia bought 3dfx

the most normal quake map

The real dlss 5

@Mrmistakemaker

Nvidia has a whole bunch of cool graphics demos from back then you can see, they still make them today but its mostly RTX

This feels like a dream you shouldn't be in

Ray Tracing was a goal this far back, I wonder. I mean I don't think it can be, I don't think that kind of hardware was even feasible even for the super premo high end, but clearly this might of been something they had been chasing for decades.

normal maps ftw

back when nvidia actually cared for gamers

I remember back in the day trying all the cool demos on my GF3 Ti200. Sometimes I go back in time, I have a lot of old hardware.

When was this?

How do I get my hands on this so I can play with it

wow

The people who remember losing their minds over this in 2000 are exactly who we look for at Bitcoin LAN Party. That feeling of seeing something technically impossible suddenly running on your screen, that never really goes away

Rest un peaces, old Nvidia, you are been never forget 🥀🕊️🕊️

Early 2000 graphics 😊
