Reno Omokri is trending because the influencer said real time e-transmission can’t work because Peter Obi’s bank has network problems, and US doesn’t do e-transmission of results. Reno asked viewers to factcheck him. — Apparently all his claims are FALSE. He claims Obi’s bank in 2025 was unable to deliver real time transfers, no access to apps or USSD, recoding thousands of complaint affecting 10million users, yet Obi wants INEC to transmit result to 100M people. Actually, Obi doesn’t own a bank. He once worked with Fidelity bank where he was on its board, he also served as board member of Guardian Express Mortgage Bank Ltd, and Future Views Securities Ltd. Fidelity bank has 500,000 shareholders and none is a majority holder. 1. 2. Also, in 2025 Fidelity Bank recorded one of the lowest customer complaints. According to a report by MonieCentral; GT bank, Zenith, Access, UBA and First Bank, had the highest failed transaction volume. While Wema, Stanbic and Fidelity were low. [ Reno Also claimed USA doesn’t do real time electronic transmission of results. Actually, technically they do. The voting machine collects all votes, aggregates and uploads in batches. Not vote-by-vote transmission, but after counting. The same option Nigerians as asking to be made compulsory. Reno only made a smart submission, but false in context regardless. India, USA, Brazil, Russia don’t use vote-by-vote transmission, not because of tech limitations but, for secrecy, live security, and to delay announcements. In a sense, this is the standard, and the closest to real-time transmission. He concluded that Obi wants real time electronic transmission so that they can hack the IREV, like 2023 when it was hacked 12million times. This is also false. During the PEPT, an Amazon staff testified, confirming the IREV server was not attacked nor suffered any damages. While INEC insisted it was hacked and suffered glitches. [ Nigerians are saying, Reno is only doing his job after securing an Ambassadorial appointment. While patriotic Nigerians agreed with him, reiterating his point and accusing Obi and normal Nigerians of idiocy.
