OBSCURA, an animated short
Комментарии: 11

I finished this animation about two months ago. It’s one of those projects where, even when you finish it, it still doesn’t feel complete. By the time you add the final touches, every mistake and everything you could have done differently becomes painfully clear.

Kind of ironic as this piece is partly about how obsessing over something so much will inevitably consume you.

Shifting my focus to other ideas and pursuits over the past few months, and now returning to this body of work, has only deepened my respect for it. Letting my mind focus less on the imperfections in execution and more on the idea and story behind it has been cathartic.

As an artist, it’s easy to fall into the habit of creating, deciding it isn’t good enough, and discarding it. Nothing can ever be perfect, so just put it out there—not only for feedback, but for the peace of mind that comes from knowing it’s out in the world, living on its own.

I hope you enjoy this short and I’d love to hear what you think. What do you see? How does it make you feel?

I never intended to sell this body of work, as the format seemed a bit unconventional. But, if anyone is interested in collecting this short in its entirety, I’m always open to talk.
