Observe the subtle differences between a mestiza (left) and a castiza (right). First, note the darker complexion and hair of the mestiza, a result of the darker pigmentation common among Amerindians. You’ll also note a more robust frame. This is an archaic feature due to the presence of higher...

There is a room in Málaga that was built to be the closest thing on earth to standing inside heaven. It is called the camarín of the Virgin of Victory, and it is hidden at the top of a tower inside the Santuario de la Victoria. To reach it, you climb and the ascent is the entire point... The building you are climbing through was completed in 1700, and it was designed as a single argument made in stone. At the bottom lies a crypt: a black chamber crowded with white plaster skeletons, a meditation on death and the brevity of life. From there a staircase rises, and as you climb it the light grows stronger and the imagery changes from bones to saints. The architects of the time understood this ascent as the soul's own journey, the dark crypt as the stage of penitence, the staircase as the stage of spiritual progress, and the room at the very top as the final stage: the union of the soul with the divine. That room at the top is the camarín, and its dome is one of the most extraordinary interiors in Spain... Every surface is covered in white and gold plasterwork. There is no empty space anywhere. The Baroque called this horror vacui, the horror of the void: the conviction that a space meant to represent heaven should not contain a single bare patch of stone. Out of that plasterwork emerge angels, flowers, birds, and mirrors. The mirrors are not decoration alone. They catch the light pouring in through the windows of the drum and throw it around the chamber, so that the gold seems to move and the whole room appears to shimmer and breathe. This wonder was built by people who believed that if you wanted to show a human being what heaven might feel like, you did not describe it to them. You built a room, and you let them climb into it... -- -- -- If you enjoyed this, I write a weekly newsletter read by over 50,000 people who love rediscovering the beauty of the past. We are already at war. Not with rifles or tanks, but with replacement. This is conquest by other means, through the slow erasure of a people who no longer recognize they are being conquered. That is why I write—to remind my people that we are not living in peace, but in the midst of a war waged without banners. The invasion is not declared with armies but with flights and boats, birthrates and welfare rolls. It is demographic warfare, calculated, continuous, and increasingly irreversible. A people, and a civilization, does not need to be burned to the ground to fall. It only needs to be replaced. Throughout the Western world, we are witnessing not mere immigration but a deliberate population transformation, one that has been rationalized by moral cowardice and enforced by political elites who have long since abandoned the idea that their nations belong to their people. What you mock as conquest is already underway, and unlike the conquests of old, it comes with the full consent of those in power. But I do not write in surrender. I write as a warning, as an act of resistance. My writing is meant to exhort and to enliven, to reawaken what has been buried beneath shame and silence. It is a summons to remember, to reclaim, and to rebuild. We are in an existential struggle, not only for our land, but for our survival, and thus for the future itself. Those who sneer at the loss will one day find there is nothing left to sneer at. A people who forget that they exist will be replaced by those who do not. You may call this natural. So be it. Then let nature return, red in tooth and claw, and let the sons of Europe remember who they are.

“In the modern world, man becomes a slave to the feminine principle, seduced by images and illusions created by emotion and fantasy—decadent forms of eros.” —Julius Evola, Metaphysics of Sex The modern cult of equality has fixed its gaze upon the sexes. What had once been regarded as the polarity of man and woman, grounded in nature and consecrated by tradition, has been lowered to a counterfeit of sameness. Evola returned often to this inversion, discerning in it the same anti-hierarchical impulse that has disfigured every other sphere of life, and which, under the guise of liberation, has stripped both sexes of the dignity proper to their stations. What the age heralds as emancipation he judged to be a degradation, for feminism does not raise woman to her station but strips her of it, compelling her to abandon her essence in order to imitate man, while man himself, bereft of his higher path, sinks into a condition at once impoverished and grotesque. For Evola, culture was the victory of form over chaos, the conquest of the shapeless by order and measure. The city and the empire arose from the recognition of limits, of distinctions, of the rightful ranking of beings. Man attained his true stature as warrior and ascetic; woman realized her dignity as lover and mother. These types were not adversaries but counterparts, separate yet joined, each consecrated to the same principle of transcendence, each charged with its own path of heroism. In the sharpening of these forms, in the intensification of the masculine and the feminine, Europe attained its strength, and love retained its ancient dignity as a force at once generative and cosmic. There is also a beauty in the truth of form, for what is bound to nature and consecrated by tradition does not merely endure but shines. When the polarity of man and woman is clarified, when each fulfills the path proper to its essence, the result is not only strength but radiance. Beauty arises when limit is embraced, when form gives shape to matter, when order compels chaos into harmony. To behold such clarity is to glimpse truth itself, for truth and beauty are of one lineage, both testifying to the higher law that governs being. The modern age has broken this harmony. Bolshevism in the East proclaimed the equality of the sexes in the name of the collective. America in the West proclaimed the same in the name of emancipation. Beneath the opposing banners the result was alike: in one case, a promiscuous communality in which difference was dissolved, in the other, the masculinized woman of the factories and the salons. The poles collapsed, the bond was neutralized, eros was reduced to sterile companionship or the fleeting diversions of appetite. Evola named this impulse a radical pessimism, for beneath the assertion of equality lies the confession that woman, as woman, has no worth. She is compelled to take on the guise of man in order to claim value, and in so doing she forfeits the possibility of fulfillment. Man, in turn, is brutalized into a creature of appetite and utility, stripped of the higher forms once embodied in the ascetic and the warrior. Love itself, which depends upon polarity as fire depends upon the tension of elements, is extinguished, and with it the very possibility of renewal. What rises in its place is the gray world of neuter beings, uniform and without grandeur. Woman no longer appears as lover or as mother, but is driven into labor, into agitation, into pale imitations of intellectual life. Man no longer ascends as ascetic or warrior, but sinks into the tradesman, the showman, the brute. Thus the order of life is betrayed in its most intimate relation, and what once gave depth and height to being is consumed in the twilight of sameness. To revolt against this perversion is not to diminish woman but to restore her to her dignity. It is to affirm that difference and hierarchy are the ground of order, that polarity is the essence of love, that the higher destiny of mankind rests upon the distinction of the sexes. In defending this truth one does not merely preserve a passing custom, but upholds the principle of form itself. For in the bond of man and woman is mirrored the eternal strife of order with chaos, and in that strife the fate of the world is decided.

The Sabotaging Practice of Over Supply and Sameness in the NFT Space. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? Why even try to come to a space where taking risks and challenging the status quo (the mission of art!!!) is overlooked? This makes the NFT space a social club and not a space for art. I guess it is fine, but IMO it is a recipe for disaster. New collectors stay away because the art will slowly but surely become stale and un-challenging. Why even bother to come and see what is happening here if you can't, as a collector, see new weird and up-and-coming artists? The amount of noise emitted by the same artists doing the same art over and over, drowns out any new voices. Again. A recipe for disaster. The NFT space is becoming a space of disappointment and doubt. We think that collections going to zero one after the other, over and over, is not damaging? I feel we are kidding ourselves. Disappointment piles up, and again, the people who will hurt are the emerging artists, the new blood, the ones who are willing to risk the most and, in return, put fire in this cold space of sameness. I love this space—don't get me wrong—it has changed my life, and I believe it has a ton of potential, but things need to change for it to become a beacon of light in art. But we need to support new voices. We need to support new ideas. The challenge is huge. I hope to contribute all I can to this change. I hope more and more see how exciting it is to go out and try to discover what else is out there and move this space forward. But again, I understand the leaps of faith needed, but if there is a space that is based on that, it's the NFT space...so there is hope. We will see. 📺by Boldtron

In the movie teaser for Disclosure by Steven Spielberg, there is a clicking sound that resembles some kind of language. Here is an interesting fact: the only known languages that use clicking tongue sounds belong to some of the oldest surviving populations, the San people of southern Africa. Genetic studies suggest that San populations diverged early from other human lineages, possibly as far back as 100,000–200,000 years ago. The San believe in a spirit creator of the world known as ǀKaggen, a trickster-like demiurge who can shapeshift, most commonly taking the form of a praying mantis. Mantids are among the most frequently reported beings, together with Gray aliens, in UFO abduction cases. Another interesting parallel is that ǀKaggen is a shapeshifter who can take the form of various animals, including the bull eland (a type of antelope), a louse, a snake, and a caterpillar. In the teaser, we see deer and other animals being controlled by an external force and used as vessels, as well as humans being used as vessels, suggesting a form of possession. The presence of priests and nuns further reinforces the theme of possession. I think the movie will focus more on interdimensional entities rather than extraterrestrials, and it is possible that these entities will be mantids. The San people also believed in the cyclical nature of the world, which I see as another interesting clue that might hint at a coming apocalypse.

Madain Saleh, also known as Al-Hijr, is a pre-Islamic archaeological site located in the northwest of Saudi Arabia. It is one of the most important archaeological sites in the Middle East and was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2008. Madain Saleh is a place of great historical and cultural significance, and it is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the history and culture of the Arabian Peninsula. Madain Saleh was the second city of the Nabataean kingdom, which was established in 2nd Century BC. The Nabataeans were an Arab tribe who were known for their expertise in carving tombs and buildings out of rock. They were also skilled in agriculture, trade, and commerce. The Nabataean kingdom was centered in Petra, which is located in modern-day Jordan. Madain Saleh served as a strategic outpost for Nabataeans, and it was an important stop on the trade routes that connected the Arabian Peninsula with the Mediterranean world. Archaeological site of Madain Saleh covers an area of 13 square kilometers. It is located in a remote desert region, and it is surrounded by rocky mountains and valleys. The site contains around 130 tombs, which were carved out of the sandstone cliffs. The tombs are adorned with intricate carvings and inscriptions, which provide insights into the culture and religion of the Nabataeans. The most famous tomb at Madain Saleh is the Qasr Al-Farid, which means "the lonely castle." This tomb is located on a hilltop and is surrounded by a large courtyard. It is the largest tomb at the site, and it is considered to be one of the finest examples of Nabataean architecture. The tomb was never completed, and it is believed that it was abandoned after the death of the Nabataean king who commissioned it. Another important tomb at Madain Saleh is the Tomb of Lihyan son of Kuza. This tomb is located in the southern part of the site and is carved into a rock cliff. It features a large entrance hall, a central chamber, and a series of smaller rooms. The tomb is decorated with intricate carvings and inscriptions, which provide insights into the religious beliefs of Nabataeans. Madain Saleh is not just a site of tombs; it also contains a number of other important structures. These include the Al-Khuraymat and Al-Sabika temples, which were used for religious ceremonies and rituals. The site also contains a number of houses, wells, and cisterns, which provide insights into the daily lives of the Nabataeans. Madain Saleh was abandoned in the 3rd Century AD, after decline of the Nabataean kingdom. The site was rediscovered in the 19th Century by the Swiss traveler Johann Ludwig Burckhardt. Since then, it has been studied by archaeologists from all over the world. The site is now managed by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, which has carried out extensive restoration and preservation work. Madain Saleh is not just a site of historical and cultural significance; it is also a place of great natural beauty. The site is surrounded by rugged mountains and valleys, and it is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. Visitors to the site can enjoy hiking and camping, as well as exploring the ancient ruins. Madain Saleh is a site of great historical and cultural significance, and it is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the history and culture of the Arabian Peninsula. Ancient ruins at Madain Saleh provide a glimpse into the engineering and architectural skills of the Nabataeans, as well as their religious beliefs and cultural practices. However, as the site becomes an increasingly popular tourist destination, there are concerns about its preservation and the impact of tourism on the local environment. It is important that the Saudi government and local communities work together to ensure that the site is protected and that tourism is managed in a sustainable way. 🎥© Paris Verra #archaeohistories

•This photo was taken last night directly in front of Burj Khalifa. •The video was taken on Saturday in Abu Dhabi with my friends and children (Europeans and Arabs). This is not a defense of the UAE simply because I live here. Rather, I speak as a Lebanese political activist who was subjected to political detention in Lebanon by a direct decision of Hezbollah. I chose the UAE and the Gulf countries as a place of safety and freedom of speech (that I still deliver it on my social media till today ) for the time being, instead of Europe ( despite receiving offers of political asylum from more than five countries within the European Union and Scandinavia) which I travel only for vacation and despite my deep appreciation for Europe, as well as for the human rights advocates and politicians who supported my case there. However, I will not accept any manipulation of the “image of a country” where I live by my own choice, with my own means and work (especially as an activist who returned from my country, Lebanon, under war conditions less than a week ago) I will not tolerate media distortion when the reality is : security, discipline, and the continuity of peaceful life. Under an air defense umbrella that has intercepted more than 1,000 attacks, every sound in the sky reassures me that I am safe that I, my family, and an entire region stretching across the Gulf, the Levant, and the Eastern Mediterranean, are being protected amid ongoing threats. The Gulf is safe. The UAE is safe. Dubai is safe. I am safe( along with four children, my sisters, and their children who came from Australia) We all chose to spend the Eid holiday in Dubai.

Facial reconstruction of a hunter-gatherer from Georgia His closest cranial affinities are with two EHG individuals, as well as with a selection of Proto-Indo-Iranic Balanovo culture crania. Given his location in northwest Georgia, the presence of a pure EHG individual in the northwest Caucasus (Satanay), and the observed cranial and archaeological affinities, it is possible that this individual was EHG or EHG-admixed CHG. His remains were presented in Mikhail Gerasimov’s 1951 book as those of a “Neolithic man from Georgia,” without any clarification regarding the precise location of the find. Decades later, in a 2020 publication, the anthropologist David Kandelaki clarified that the individual was discovered in Abkhazia, at a cave known as the “Cold Grotto.” The individual was described by Mikhail Gerasimov as gracile, with distinctive traits that place him closer to Sub-Saharan African and other equatorial populations. Gerasimov noted a close resemblance to an EHG from Gavrilovka, as well as to several crania from the Proto-Indo-Iranian Balanovo culture, which likewise exhibit this pronounced Sub-Saharan/equatorial morphological tendency. In a 2017 publication, the anthropologist Alexander Khokhlov also observed that a female EHG skull from Chekalino closely matches this forager from Cold Grotto. Considering the Chekalino and Gavrilovka affinities, and the presence of a genetically pure EHG individual from the Satanay Grotto in the Northwest Caucasus, along with archaeological links between the Apiancha forager group (to which the Cold Grotto individual belonged) and the Gubs group (associated with the Satanay), it is possible that this reconstructed individual harbored a significant degree of EHG ancestry, or was fully EHG. The individual was described by the anthropologist Mikhail Gerasimov as follows: It appears that this skull may date to the period of Early Neolithic formation, or possibly to an earlier time (perhaps Epipaleolithic/Tardenoisian). Morphologically, the skull is highly distinctive and displays traits uncharacteristic of later Caucasian populations. This prompted us to present a description of the skull and a graphic reconstruction of the head, in the hope that this preliminary publication will later help clarify the time and context of the find. Despite the abundance of Upper Paleolithic and Early Neolithic sites in Georgia, virtually nothing is known about the anthropological type of the population of this period, aside from a lower jaw, apparently belonging to a very young woman, from the Aurignacian layer of Devís-Khvreli Cave. The skull is small, gracile, and light, with shortened proportions and rounded outlines, and weak surface relief. Cranial sutures are obliterated, suggesting an age of approximately 25 years. Cranial dimensions include a small length of 176 mm, small cranial breadth of 136 mm, and a large bizygomatic width of 137 mm. The frontal bone is broad and convex; the sagittal keel and frontal eminences are weakly expressed. Supraorbital ridges are broad and moderately developed. The nasal part of the frontal bone is wide and very short. The parietal bones are shortened, and the occipital bone is fractured. The mastoid process is large and robust. Facial height is relatively great, with shortened proportions and notable depth. The face occupies an intermediate position between pentagonal and triangular forms. It is gracile, small, weakly profiled, and prognathic. The nose is low, narrow, and projecting; the chin is weakly developed. The orbits are irregularly oval, with thin, blunted margins, a slightly inclined profile, horizontal orientation, small eyes. Zygomatic bones are thin and weakly profiled. Canine fossae are deep; the alveolar region is high, broad, and prognathic. The total combination of descriptive and metric traits excludes any indication of East Asian affinity. In its foundation, the skull is closest to the Europoid type; however, a number of features - weak nasal projection, shortened proportions of the piriform aperture, pronounced general and alveolar prognathism, and maxillary dental prognathism - impart an SSA appearance to the skull. The proposed graphic reconstruction further emphasizes these SSA traits against an overall Europoid background. Such features have been noted in early variants of Homo sapiens, and in this case likely reflect incomplete differentiation of Euro-African traits. This may indicate either the antiquity of the find or the persistence of relic features of an ancient anthropological form. Although people with clearly expressed later Cro-Magnon traits already lived in the Crimea and the Dnieper region at this time, the Georgian skull shows no such characteristics. Despite its overall gracility, it retains certain archaic features, including relatively strong glabellar projection, developed supraorbital ridges, vertical orbital profiling, and facial prognathism. This specimen represents a local variant of Homo sapiens not typical of the Neolithic or Late Archaic period. Comparable features are observed in skulls from Gavrilovka and in certain specimens of the Balanovo culture.

Alaska. Putin and Trump. The meeting that was both awaited and feared. The outcome. By Roman Alekhin To discuss this further, the key point to understand is this: Two and a half hours behind closed doors is too little for leaders of nuclear powers if they are just starting a conversation—but too much if they were merely posing for cameras. This means the real work happened earlier—quiet, working discussions “behind the door” that never made it into the official communiqué. These are what stopped Trump from imposing secondary sanctions; this is where the exchange of conditions took place, terms that won’t be disclosed until both leaders decide the time is right. I suspect Syria was discussed, as well as the “Trump Bridge” (instead of Zangezur), the Middle East, and much more that isn’t yet visible to the naked eye. The public part? Pure theater. The point wasn’t to negotiate in front of the world or sign something, like Trump did with Armenia and Azerbaijan—minor players, important only tactically. The point was to send a signal: the presidents of Russia and the U.S. are shaking hands and smiling again, no knives behind their backs. This signals that a new reality has arrived, one that Europe, Ukraine, and everyone accustomed to building their worldview around the idea of “Russia’s isolation” will now have to reckon with—including those within our own countries. Trump’s comments on Fox News were deliberately vague—he’s a master at leaving room for maneuver. But the key takeaway is clear: the pressure will now shift from Moscow to Kyiv and Brussels. This is evident even in the final format—not a word about a “no-conditions” ceasefire, which was Europe and Zelensky’s main demand. This means the discussion on a final peace has been postponed, but within a clear framework: Zelensky must exit the war in a way that lets Europe save face. Russia’s red lines have long been clear: non-aligned status for Ukraine, return of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions within their administrative borders (not the frontlines), lifting of sanctions, and real democracy in Ukraine without persecution of the Russian language or the Orthodox Church. These conditions will prolong the conflict for some time. Zelensky will need to stage a fighting retreat to the administrative borders—this will allow Europe to save face. But the logic is already visible: Ukraine’s defeat will be framed not as a “crushing” but as a “peaceful settlement.” Six months—that’s the timeframe in which we’ll see the dynamics. If the front accelerates, the deal is working. If it stalls, not all pieces are in place yet. But the main thing is already done: Russia is back in the game, not through gray negotiating formats but through a handshake on American soil—even if it’s chilly Alaska. (Though we have warm ties to the region, as seen in the wreath-laying for the “Heroes of ALSIB” and the meeting with Archbishop Alexy of Sitka and Alaska.) For the world, this is an image where smiles are worth more than signatures. For Trump—a chance to show he’s the only one who can “make peace.” For Putin—a symbolic victory: Russia is not a besieged enemy but an equal player. For Europe and Ukraine—the beginning of a painful new phase where they’ll have to accept the inevitable. In these talks, there were no winners or losers in Alaska. In Alaska, both presidents won, while those who weren’t there—lost, or at the very least, didn’t win.
