Fairly sure he cowered away from his remarks rather than addressing them ? He's painful

He completely avoided addressing his remarks at all and accused Joanne of misquoting him which she did not. He was unnecessarily combative and rude when asked a fair question about something he himself had said. Disrespectful again from him.

Addressed his remarks? Not sure who captioned the tweet but that's absolutely not what happened here.

Joanne: You said, “It’s a Grand National for also-rans.” Donal Óg: That’s not exactly what I said. What he said on Morning Ireland on 12 May: “It’s a sort of Gaelic Football Grand National for disappointed also-rans.” I think Joanne was close enough.

Nah, he didn't address them. He did his best to wriggle out of answering them. Very rude to the host also.

If you must have secondary comps why did you call it a grand national for NR Joanne didn’t misquote him at all

Cusack is an absolute coward. All mouth about the Tailteann Cup as long as he has nobody to challenge his remarks. Remarks he's now he wants to shut down any conversation about. Total coward.

He didn’t address anything. Hopefully he has at least apologised to @Joanne_Cantwell privately for being so rude and condescending. I imagine he knew he was in the wrong even as he started speaking. Joanne was very patient even as he was being so dismissive to her.

Fair play for Joanne for calling him out. His days are numbered you’d feel

Smells like RTE having a go back at Donal Og over GAA Go, cheap shot. Today is hurling, don’t ruin it.
