Today’s Thai Lesson 101 with me: ‘ตี๋ (Tee)’ Let's learn abt this because we use this word A LOT in Thailand. If you’re in a Thai fandom, you’re going to see it everywhere for sure 555555 So Originally, ‘Tee’ was used to describe a ‘Chinese-looking guy’ and ‘Muay’ was for a ‘Chinese-looking girl’ But what can I say? This is Thailand lol. Everything is gender-fluid here, so people just use whatever they want. I’ve seen people use ‘Muay’ for male artists and ‘Tee’ for female artists. In the GL/BL fandom, ‘Tee’ is mostly used to describe a Seme with that cool chinese look, while 'Muay' is for an Uke. Anyway, let’s look at these EmiBonnie moments as examples 1. An ANY posted "Recommended bedtime prayer. Put your hands together and say 'Love Seme-Tee, Love Seme-Tee, Love Seme-Tee, Love Seme-Tee. Amen." along with pics of Emi, and Bonnie replied "Amen." 2. The last time I, Cara was out to visit Scott and April, Scott asked me what it meant when I told him I identified as a brat. A brat is a label in a kink dynamic. They are usually a sub (submissive), but they rarely ever just do what is asked of them. They often make it a challenge for the Dom and require a lot of wit and banter to engage with them. I’ll send you a picture of my… whoopsie! Over the years I’ve discovered that being a BRAT can help you navigate injuries in your workouts. Brats are: Putting an emphasis on fun. Always pushing it. Finding the edges of what you can do without going too far. When working with an injury or limitation in the gym you want those things. Finding movement that brings you joy can be instrumental during a time when you may feel as if your body is failing you. Pushing things just enough to constantly challenge yourself will allow you to not get stuck in corrective exercises and make consistent progress. we are back baby!!! 🥺 and this time, for good. and if bad happens, we strive still… what it’s taking me to start yt all over again!! all my half of the year efforts and hard-work down to the drain… and then, sickness adds to it at the same time… lost my two channels I built from scratch.. can’t stay down forever.. so yeah.. I just bought two new devices, paid for new mentorship for new niches, bought new network fibre x, yet to pay for new tools and experience… current cost spent: 1.3m God help me! cause genuinely I’ve given up but I still feel there’s a little tiny hope left in me to rugged this all over again.. hopefully i get back my capital invested with profits. note: you can start small. I’m asking for all the prayers, love, and support you can send my way right now ❤️ About eight days ago, my husband left me. After years of battling abuse, I finally found the courage to kick him out and not take him back. Now I’m trying to pick up the pieces of my life, stand on my own two feet, and figure out what’s next. I’m left dealing with severe health issues that have landed me in the hospital from dehydration and neglect since he walked away. I have no help, I don’t know my legal rights (like whether I can change the locks), and I’m trying to find the right attorney to move forward. I feel completely helpless, but I still have a roof over my head — thank God for that. If it wasn’t for Him, I wouldn’t even be here writing this. Please keep me in your prayers as I slowly try to stand again. I love you all and just need some time and a whole lot of prayer support right now. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 💜

I cannot comprehend what happened today. I literally cannot wrap my brain around the fact that you’re no longer here. Your last text to me was on Friday night, making a joke about the student driver sticker on my car as my son learns to drive. I had no idea that would be our last laugh together. Matt was so much more than a coworker—he was a close friend for years. Back when I did traffic at WISH-TV, we were constantly texting, bonding over how much we hated getting up early, keeping up with the morning commutes, and building a friendship that only grew deeper over time. We talked about everything: our struggles, spirituality, fitness, and relationships. He became like a brother to me. I will forever cherish our late-night coffee meetups just to talk about life. Matt was actually the one who brought me to WIBC. He told me, “Johnette, these people are amazing and you have to come work here.” By the grace of God, it all worked out. I’ll never forget showing up on my first day and receiving the biggest hug from him. Or how I used to steal his protein bars 😂 Or how he’d be sore from working out, and I’d send him stretching videos because he was always complaining about his hips. When Matt came on my podcast, he was so open about his own struggles that it gave me the courage to share mine. Because of Matt, I found the strength to share my past journey with substance abuse publicly. Today reminded me that at Radio One, we are far more than just coworkers—we are a family. We cried, hugged, and grieved together for a man we all loved and adored. I haven’t been able to stop crying today, and I am still trying to process everything. I cannot comprehend what happened today. I literally cannot wrap my brain around the fact that you’re no longer here. Your last text to me was on Friday night, making a joke about the student driver sticker on my car as my son learns to drive. I had no idea that would be our last laugh together. Matt was so much more than a coworker—he was a close friend for years. Back when I did traffic at WISH-TV, we were constantly texting, bonding over how much we hated getting up early, keeping up with the morning commutes, and building a friendship that only grew deeper over time. We talked about everything: our struggles, spirituality, fitness, and relationships. He became like a brother to me. I will forever cherish our late-night coffee meetups just to talk about life. Matt was actually the one who brought me to WIBC. He told me, “Johnette, these people are amazing and you have to come work here.” By the grace of God, it all worked out. I’ll never forget showing up on my first day and receiving the biggest hug from him. Or how I used to steal his protein bars 😂 Or how he’d be sore from working out, and I’d send him stretching videos because he was always complaining about his hips. When Matt came on my podcast, he was so open about his own struggles that it gave me the courage to share mine. Because of Matt, I found the strength to share my past journey with substance abuse publicly. Today reminded me that at Radio One, we are far more than just coworkers—we are a family. The Sabotaging Practice of Over Supply and Sameness in the NFT Space. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? Why even try to come to a space where taking risks and challenging the status quo (the mission of art!!!) is overlooked? This makes the NFT space a social club and not a space for art. I guess it is fine, but IMO it is a recipe for disaster. New collectors stay away because the art will slowly but surely become stale and un-challenging. Why even bother to come and see what is happening here if you can't, as a collector, see new weird and up-and-coming artists? The amount of noise emitted by the same artists doing the same art over and over, drowns out any new voices. Again. A recipe for disaster. The NFT space is becoming a space of disappointment and doubt. We think that collections going to zero one after the other, over and over, is not damaging? I feel we are kidding ourselves. Disappointment piles up, and again, the people who will hurt are the emerging artists, the new blood, the ones who are willing to risk the most and, in return, put fire in this cold space of sameness. I love this space—don't get me wrong—it has changed my life, and I believe it has a ton of potential, but things need to change for it to become a beacon of light in art. But we need to support new voices. We need to support new ideas. The challenge is huge. I hope to contribute all I can to this change. I hope more and more see how exciting it is to go out and try to discover what else is out there and move this space forward. OP sharing her experience during Gumayusi's fanmeeting 💛 This was OP’s post: Before even buying the ticket, I (already) thought that I might not be able to participate in the hi-bye event. Since I use a wheelchair, I can't go down the stairs. But for me, just being able to see him in person was enough, so I thought it would be okay even if I couldn't participate. However, not long after I entered, a staff member came over first and checked on me. They asked if I had someone who accompanying me, so I asked: 👤: “(In my case) does this mean I won't be able to participate (in the hi-bye)? 🥹” Staff: “Later on, we'll guide you and help you get down there. Don't worry.” At first, I thought there must be some other accessible route, and that I'd be able to get to the aisle near the front row through that. But when the hi-bye event started, a staff member came over and said: 🗣️: “You can just stay right here. Later, he'll come over to this side and do the hi-bye with you.” So, feeling grateful, I stayed in my seat and waited until everyone else had finished. Guma really did come over. (to where OP was) Unfortunately, I accidentally ended up pressing the slow-motion button (I've restored it to normal speed now), so the video quality turned out really bad 🥹 I thought that if he'd come up and pass by really quickly. I didn't even think he'd stop, so I had only prepared one very short line to say. 👤: “This should be enough, right?” But I got so nervous that I stumbled over my words. I wanted to say: “MSI hwaiting!” But instead I ended up saying: “M-se hwaiting!” I'm still sad about that. 🫠 After the hi-bye ended, the staff were about to send Guma off, but suddenly he stopped and gestured saying like to take a photo. The staff exchanged a few words with him, and while I was still trying to process/cannot believe what was happening, one of them said: 🗣️“We'll take a photo for you~” I was already so happy just to have been able to participate in the hi-bye. When they said I could take a photo too, my brain stopped working. He was really so kind!!! I'm so grateful 😭 At first, he just crouched down next to me and wasn't making any hand pose. Mentava’s early literacy software has taken 2yos (almost 3) to an early 2nd grade reading level in as little as 3 months. Some people think this is a miracle. I do not. If a kid can learn fast, we let them learn fast. If a kid learns slower, we let them learn slower. This should be common sense, but unfortunately it’s opposed by the National Education Association, the National Council of Teachers of English, the National Council of Teachers in Mathematics, and many other groups who drive education policy. It’s a tragic indictment of our education system that Mentava simply reveals how fast some kids can learn and people think it’s a miracle. Mentava’s early literacy software has two main ingredients: curriculum + motivation There’s nothing revolutionary about Mentava’s curriculum. Our curriculum is a typical, extremely structured phonics curriculum. There is a massive body of evidence (and common sense) backing the idea that kids should learn to read by sounding out words. Armed with any decent phonics curriculum, I would expect a skilled parent/teacher who can motivate, engage, and teach a kid 1-1 on a daily basis over a period of several months to get similar results to our software. (I frequently recommend the book Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons as a cheaper alternative to Mentava.) So why do some families choose to pay $500/month for Mentava? Well, not everyone has the time/motivation/desire to become that teacher. Some people do, and they love that process. On the other hand, some families come to Mentava and say, “I used that book to teach my first child to read. It worked, we both hated it, and I will never do it again.” By contrast, my 4yo wakes me up in the morning asking to do Mentava. He gets mad in the evenings when I don’t have time to do it with him. He LOVES learning to read. What Mentava does exceptionally well is provide motivation and fun - without sacrificing academic rigor. Our team members led some of the top mobile and AAA games in the world. We are very very good at motivation design. In short, we take phonics and gamify it to be as fun, easy, efficient, and motivating as we can possibly make it. So, claims: - Mentava works really, really well for SOME kids - Mentava probably does not work well for ALL kids - Under ideal conditions, other phonics programs will probably perform similarly to Mentava (or better!) No research study will tell you whether Mentava is the best fit for your family. So we offer a two-week free trial. That’s enough time for some families to make it most of the way through our kindergarten curriculum. Use Mentava with the kids it works for. Don't use it with kids for whom it doesn't.
